Same!
Does anybody wanna pool in for the Chicago Highlands round? I drive by the place every day on my way to work and would love to actually see the course and not just the huge mounds from 294.
I’d say $175-$200 is my limit.
The Catholic schools for sure.
I can match you.

I do not like golf this much. I do not like anything this much.
Not even witches?
" Criminal trespass to real property is a Class B misdemeanor, punishable by a jail sentence of up to six months and a maximum fine of $1,500."
Woah hey buddy!
Yeah, it’s dumb. But I don’t have any other hobbies and work too hard not to waste money on myself from time to time.
Honestly kind of feel like this could be the tagline for the entire Refuge
@jbors - Sup bb?
Wyclef - my problem is I have too many hobbies that I’m mediocre at
ChiFFI - In the immortal words of Eazy-E:
They put out my picture with silence
'Cause my identity by itself causes violence
The E with the criminal behavior
Yeah, I’m a gangsta, but still, I got flavor
Setwilli - no comment
I was under the impression that none of us were actually working. I thought that was the whole point.
Same – but golf is like the Scar of all the hobbies, ruthlessly ruling the wasteland of mediocrity, throwing scraps to the pack of hyenas to make sure cycling, cooking and camping gear still gets justified to stay in storage.
I really can’t wait for our match.
Personally I view it more like Thomas Hobbes quote - [golf is] “solitary, poor, nasty, brutish, and short”
I’m extremely jealous of those that are “fun-employed” as I struggle to maximize rounds while minimizing work responsibilities.
If I’m playing the odds of $12k for 3 or sneaking on and getting caught…
Playing Bowes at 11:50 Monday if anyone would like to join. $49 if you show a CDGA card. I’ve got a twosome, room for 2 more
Nice SGS #content
Greetings all. New to the Refuge and overdue for getting involved. I’m in downtown Chicago and am always up for a game or round with fellow avid golfers. Certainly will jump on weekday opportunities if I can time-shift work responsibilities.
I’ve been here 7 years so by this point the 45-60 min drives to courses in the burbs doesn’t bother me anymore. Lately, I’ve been spending too much time and money getting punished by the winds and rates down at Harborside, anyway…
