Ketchup and American cheese on his hotdog…
And beef dry? Is he 5?
Does he like eating his beef like sandpaper?
Anyone have a recommendation for where I can get lie and loft for my clubs checked and adjusted? I know PGATSS does it, but there’s a 3-5 day turnaround I’m not crazy about, and I don’t know if I can trust them to do it right. I’ve had bad experiences with big chain sports stores adjusting sports equipment before and want to avoid that.
From an industry perspective, that’s a DAMN good lead time unless you find a guy with the equipment to do that. Most shops right now are about a 5-7 day turnaround.
Can’t speak from a reliability side, though I do enjoy their regripping services when I’m in a pinch.
One spot open for Saturday 1140 at Mt P, book online if you want to join us in the wetness
Ah, that’s good to know. I guess I had a “you just stick it in a contraption, bend it to the right angle, and you’re done, how hard can it be?” attitude about it.
Okay @PTM …help a guy out
We just closed on a new place in West Dundee this weekend, and I’m pumped to be closer to the Elgin courses. Haven’t played Randall Oaks, Wing Park OR Bonnie Dundee, but played at Whisper Creek, Redtail, GCI, and the Cary courses.
I figure I’ll be a regular at Randall Oaks now, since I’ve heard Bonnie Dundee isn’t the “greatest” of courses…but was wondering if you had any intel on it and the others in the area.
Thank you for your service.
I played Randall Oaks in College many times. Course is SICK! Right up there with Elgins finest. If you are looking for a range check out Swing Masters in Gilberts. Nothing more satisfying than hitting stingers at a parked mini cooper. Definitely take a trip south on 25 and come play Pottawatomie in ST Charles.
Place sounds pretty sick if it’s called “Swing Masters”
Aaaaannnddddd sold. Definitely my kind of range.
Any word on Bonnie Dundee, Turnberry, or anything else out that way?
Boat, Mini cooper, island green and some other random targets. I wouldn’t go to work on your swing because you spend 75% of the time ripping stingers
Im betting there are better suited refugees to answer those. Played them like 10 years ago so I’m sure a lot has changed. I do play Marengo Ridge a few times a year which is north west of you. Very reasonable track with some cool holes
Couple things here…
-
If my game all of a sudden becomes “ripping stingers” then I’m going to be JUST fine.

Holy shit I might need to go visit tonight. This place sounds amazing.
I’ll get ya more in-depth info but first U8 softball practice is tonight.
What do you look for most in a course? I find the McHenry County megaplex courses are all a bit similar.
Funny you should ask…

For me?
Give me a “fun” and/or “quirky” design with some elevation change
Or if you think I’ll get me teeth knocked in…I’m always down to get beat up once in a while too
Turnberry SUCKS.
You do love Prairie Isle, that’s like 20 minutes. $2,500 for a season pass that includes Boone Creek.
