I’ve got a game at Baylands this Saturday morning as well. Anyone have a recent update on conditions there? In January the greens were perfect, but the fairways were in pretty rough shape. Hoping the lack of rain since then has allowed them to improve a bit.
Same experience as you. I was there maybe 3 or 4 weeks ago. Hoping the fairways recovering a bit. Honestly didn’t detract from my enjoyment. Just a great course.

Have two buddies who played this weekend and said everything other than the greens was pretty rough. “Patchy” was the term both used.

I would love to join to Northwood meetup this summer if the date works. I wanted to introduce myself to the group as well. Live in Orinda and work in Palo Alto so am a bit all over the Bay Area.
Would be great to find some more games in the area. Open Wed and Fri afternoons in the summer and some weekends.

I have not played there yet but would love to. Hear it’s an amazong course!
Possibly looking like I may not fully move until mid June. In the meantime how’s the pace of play at these courses? Any of them stand out as particularly good/bad? Corica, Callippe, Baylands?

Well as is typically the case at Metro the fairways are patchy/spotty and overall pretty crappy in terms of grass coverage, but they are firm/fast and dry. Greens were in great shape. Course played fast and we got around quite quickly, never having to wait on the groups in front.
Fairly windy for that time of the morning. I was spraying driver all over the place so I saw all sorts interesting places on the course

I work in Napa and sneak in 9 at Vitners or Kennedy whenever I can. Only played Silverado once and I got rocked, but would love to take another crack at it.

Following up from Baylands this morning…
Some grass starting to fill in some places on and around fairways, but still mostly patchy. Certainly playable…and plenty of roll out to be had. Greens continue to be great if you like firm, fast, and punishing slopes, bowls and spines. To be fair, it’s a pretty open course off the tee, so the greens (and devilish pin placements) are the defense, especially when wind is mild like we had.
I forgot to take pics…was trying to ‘stay present’ with my boys today.
Tee to green, I played great. Worst putting round in recent record…a cool 42 putts 
Shot 46-42 off 10. Was one of those 'what could have been" rounds with the old flat stick.
