Hello everyone… question for you: how hard is it to get on Pasatiempo?

Question of $$ not getting on! Semi private - tee times available daily

$250? Is that a normal walking rate?

No $345 is normal walking. You can find hot deals for lower but it’s a lot

Hello friends! I realize this is a little beyond our geography, so please forgive me.

I live in here the Bay Area, but will be heading down to Santa Barbara the week of Thanksgiving.

I’m booked to play Sandpiper on Monday, November 21st at 8:00am. The reservation is for two people. Any chance there’s another Bay Area refugee in town that’d like to get a round in that morning? Will be a great way to start Thanksgiving week.

I need some advice. I’ll be in SF late January. I don’t really want to pay 500 bucks for a rental nor do I even really want to drive. Flying in and day one is the Warriors-Grizzlies game and then down to Pasatiempo for a 12:30 tee time on a Thursday. Uber down there or ride the Bart till it ends and Uber San Jose to Pasa? After that it’s back up for SF for a few days. Someone just tell me what to do and if any of that is dumb.

Wonder if renting a Getaround or Zipcar for the day would be better option. Bart to Uber and then back sounds terrible tbh.

Edit (Quick check is about $35-45 for the day on getaround for like a Hyundai.)

That or find one of us to take you to pasa. Haha

I think you mean Caltrain. That will get you to San Jose. Probably looking at like a $150 Uber round trip from there.

Thought about zipcar as well. I could google this stuff but do I have to return it to the same spot?

I do however agree with Doc @fullbodyfix on this one @avess. The train to Uber combo would really suck lol.

For getaround yes. Not sure on zipcar.

Thanks fellas. I’ll circle back closer to and see if anyone is around and wants to hang. Golf will be Pasa and then Presidio later in the trip.

I’m in for Presidio, 5 minutes from my place.

Awesome! I’m staying in Presidio. Probably Sunday the 29th.

Alright Bay Area - Gauging interest in this:

A few years ago, @oski won something we called the Battle in the Big Trees at Northwood GC.

I personally need a golf palate cleanser and that pilgrimage to the Mackenzie redwoods is just the ticket. Oh and uh, there’s a twist. Half set.

If interested, even if you’re not sure 100% today,
Put your name on the list.

Please feel free to disagree anyone. But taking public transit is unfortunately not an option to go to Santa Cruz for a tee time. Specifically due to the highway that takes you west to Pasatiempo.

As in. The 17 is a traffic nightmare due to frequent accidents in either direction. Please plan ahead when leaving for the day and arrive early.

In august a bunch of us went down to Monterey. Apparently construction in Santa Cruz caused folks a 1-2 hour traffic delay. That area was never built to handle 30,000 folks going back and forth on any given weekend.

I’ll be in Bodega with the family and planning to play at Bodega Harbor that week as well, if anybody wants to tag along.
