Quick Smoke Rise Update:
In March it was the announced the club would undergo over $1.5M in capital improvements with a good amount of that (over $500k) going directly into refurbishing the golf course this year. Areas of improvement include rehabilitating the bunkers and the overall course- mainly turf and other "infrastructure " items.
As a member since last summer these are much needed improvements so its a welcome sign to see the club allocating a decent amount of money into the track.
Hopefully this helps drive membership to where the Golf Now residuals can be abandoned and it returns back to a fully private club.
I went out today to play the back 9 and had the course to myself. Greens were fast and in decent condition. Bunkers have massively improved already.
If any of y’all want to come out, be happy to have y’all- In my experience, its a way better value than battling for tee times at Charlie Yates, Bobby Jones etc and is a good “stop gap” until that PDC wait list gets a bit shorter

Last time I played it was three years ago. Caught a Hot Deal for $25 and felt like I got ripped off. Hopefully the course has improved.
100 for a foursome after 2:30(Fri-Sun) is pretty solid if the course is in better shape as stated above.

Casual Encounters: If you’re the fella (with the NLU towel) hitting next to me on the range at BJGC on Saturday morning. Kudos to you and the grind sir. While I hacked it up with no plan or thoughts, you worked the camera and seemed to have actual drills. Maybe I should try this.
