How do you like ATL Nat? Thought about it, played it, but ended up going with Echelon. I feel like ATL Nat has some holes with more character than Echelon, but I’m also not sure I’d want to play them all the time, if you know what I mean.
I love it. Been there for about a year and every time around is a challenge. Great course for walking, playing and I believe the game has improved.
What I enjoy most is during summer if there’s not enough time for a full round we have have great short loops to go play a few.

That’s awesome. The only thing I dislike about Echelon being semi-private are those tweener months where it doesn’t stay light enough to get a full 9 in and you want to play a short loop, usually 1, 8 and 9, but earlier public play inhibits making the loop.
Also, the front is walkable, the back can be done, but you’re probably not going to have a great time and I used to always walk at Crooked and other tracks.

Walked Echelon for full 18 one time. guys in the shop thought I was crazy. Ideal go to is walk the front and ride the back.
I could see the trouble with quick loops out there. As the public though, it’s probably the best course around the area.

The public play hardly interferes and does keep the monthly costs down, more a European club model, but if you want to play an afternoon weekend round and not with the morning member groups you better make that tee time early

Working on planning events etc. and waiting on nlu to kick things off with a captains meeting. I’ll keep you guys posted, but stay tuned for some logo work ups.

SIAP: Are all skill levels welcomed for roost membership? I’m slowly improving my game and have been taking swing lessons at Bobby. I think my biggest trepidation with attending Nest Events and or Roost would be i’m still improving my skills etc and grinding. Appreciate any clarification- cheers

All are welcomed. Events will be off handicap so it’s makes it fair for everyone. When I first joined the nest last year I was hesitant because I’m terrible. I’ve been to 3 events now plus a ton of playing with guys in Atlanta and not looking back. No one cares how good or bad you play. It’s all just good dudes playing golf.

If skill was a concern here @mearley44 @mshriver3 & @RangerB would have dropped me like a bad habit already, but alas I think they think its funny watching me lose balls and sob uncontrollably.
