Discord is a phone or desktop app that basically acts as a suped up version of a group chat, and better than Slack imo. We can have multiple different threads for certain topics, allow people to create events and sign up, do polls, voice chats etc. Because of its digital nature, there are a lot of bots that can help run a bunch of the things like sign-ups or point tracking etc.
I’m about to make the turn to the back 9 of life. May need some help understanding how to use / etc. Till then, do you mind to keep updating here on the World Wide Web platform of refuge.no laying up.com
Not a member, but I have played both and prefer Brookfield. I think the facility and course has a bit more character being in an older suburb like Roswell. ATL National just feels very 90s to me, but that is a personal preference and ATL National might technically have bigger and newer facilities.
My firm has a corporate membership. It is fantastic for what it is- basically a social club with great drinks, good food, and some simulators with Trackman (one of my partners described it as the grown up SAE house from UGA). Definitely has a “clubby” feel, but I really like the vibe on the whole. I have used it mainly as a spot for business networking, but once we get into the dead of winter, I plan on using it as a place to get some practice in. It’s only been open since April, but they are getting the operation dialed in now. I’d be happy to see about hosting a small Roost event there once we get that up and running.
I hadn’t thought about corporate memberships there but it makes perfect sense right in the middle of town.
Obviously golf simulators and putting greens are great but I think its easy to put a value on what someone would pay to join a club offering just that. The other part of it is what I am more interested in, so thanks for expanding on that aspect of it.
