Roll Call: Atlanta - Campout 3/15 - Stankonia 6/7

Question for y’all - buddies wife is booking a 4some for his birthday. I threw out Cobblestone and Chestatee as recommendations since I know they are courses we’ve never played, but have heard good things about both.

Which would you play between the two?

Location of said buddy?

He’s in Cumming. I’m in Dunwoody, so we don’t exactly mind the drive. Just kind of looking for the best sub $90 round we can find and those were two courses I thought of we had not played yet.

Cobblestone is fun, but I’d go Echelon if you haven’t played there yet.

Apologies if duplicate but here would be recommendations for courses - within ~90 mins:

  • Achasta
  • Cherokee Run (apologies ahead of time for #8)
  • Harbor Club
  • The Fields
  • Woodmont
  • Farmlinks (full day commitment ~ 2hrs)
  • Echelon

Cobblestone / Chestatee are good options but the above would be my choices above those two - in no particular order.

Why we haven’t had a Refuge event at Farmlinks yet is honestly the biggest mystery known to man.

Cobblestone is pretty good. If you’re both northeast. I 3rd, Echelon is the best. Achasta may be out of winter by now and is pretty fun. Could also go up to Old Taccoa.

@rmattgolden we need to get one in at The Fields first!

Good call on Old Toccoa - forgot about it

Barnsley may be an option as well - pushing up against $90

If he’s in Cumming, then Echelon is your best option.

Achasta is wonderful though.

Good fvcking call.

I’ve posted on this thread before, but the action we were able to get in the Grint thread to add more refugees has been fun to see - but I’d love to get some Atlanta/Georgia players on my list.

If anyone is on Grint, post your Grint ID / WHS and let’s start celebrating each others’ live rounds!

For me, WHS #10603114

I’m not a nest member so I may not be privy to the Grint thread but here is my. I’m all about GVO’s.

WHS # 10790163

Tf is grint

(I know I could Google this, I’ve been doing my stupid job and need interaction)

It’s basically a golf scoregard/gps app that allows you to keep an official handicap. Also can track betting games, round statistics, strokes gained or lost etc

Played that course last year and was amazed at how good it is. Some very challenging holes out there.

Got my first lesson today in 15 years (I’m 30 now). Went to BJGC and worked with Justin. Highly recommend.

Swing is being rebuilt and its scary but the journey should be fun. Or it won’t be lol.

Justin is a pretty cool guy. Good luck with the transformation!
