Shrink The Game in motion
I apologize. There’s a spreadsheet of courses that I’ve been working on forever and they were still in it. I’ll make note of that to remove them from the results.
Big Randy would be proud
There is a cypress lakes in Muscle Shoals that’s a pretty good course.
Union Springs CC is still around. Not what it once was.
You’re gonna have to report back on it, jealous!
Ya know, a great way for all of you guys to see some of these courses you haven’t experienced yet is to sign up for the Bama bracket of High Cotton Classic! It allowed me to play a lot of new courses that I wouldn’t have got the chance to otherwise and hit up some old favorite public spots!
Alabama adjacent in the neighboring town of Lagrange! Would love to see you all if you can make it. Great golf course who takes incredible care of us!
I’m giving Cumberland Lake a 6 - five of those points go to ambiance and the characters I’ve met out there.
The golf course is surprisingly good for what it is, too.
I think there’s one in Mobile too now that I think about it
It looks like I was wrong on these anyway. More courses to potentially add
Montgomery:
Arrowhead- private
Aroostook
Cottonwood
Lagoon Park
Pines Crossing
Got on at Mountain Brook. V pumped!
Enjoy. It’s got a staffed halfway house at the intersection of 2,3, and 9. So you know it’s good.
Do they have a certain specialty drink or food item I should get?
I may be wrong but I don’t believe so.
Just have whatever Gordon Sargent is having.
did he grow up there??
He grew up in Mountain Brook. I think he played more at CC of Birmingham but no doubt he’s played at Mtn Brook Club.
The chicken salad cup is always strong, and the drinks at the turn are comically strong.
Kiva, Peninsula, Craft is a phenomenal golf trip!
Lost Key is tough bro, I’d rather play Perdido Bay. Our club plays a tournament every year where both are in the rota.
