Only halfway through the most recent pod episode but liking the new concept so far.

Curious if anyone else has ever used Edinburgh as a base camp for travel in Fife/E. Lothian? My Dad and I did a trip in 2017 where we didn’t have firm times in a few places and didn’t want to be pinned in a small town each night. We wound up renting a car and being able to spend 3 nights in Edinburgh + 2 nights in St. Andrews. Super easy drive, I think Edinburgh is a world-class city, and it allowed us to more easily shoot down to N. Berwick and E. Lothian for some golf.

I’m not sure I’d recommend Edinburgh as a base if you’re heading over to Fife every day to play but if you maybe only have 1 or two rounds in Fife over the course of a week then I think it’s an option; and I say that as an Edinburgh native.

Just listening to the pod now so will be back once I’ve listened to it. :ok_hand:

The concept is strong.

The execution and recommendations? Well, I think there’s a fair amount of disagreement there.
