If it’s 72 holes again, could also take @OTPLefty suggestion and make it into an executive course with nothing but par 3s and drivable par 4s

We saw her for the last time on 12 tee. 20/20 hindsight would have been ordering 6 beers because the last 7 holes took over two hours and I was actually starting to get hung over by the 18th tee.

Brother, you gotta bring a reusable bottle. Paying for bottled water is gauche.

If it’s 72 holes again I’ll be the first to tell the scheduler to take me off the morning times.

Foursome alt-shot - only hit every fourth shot :+1:

I was just struck with the thought that if the fescue was grown in we might still be out there waiting to tee off on 10.

I hate how accurate this is.

I would just like to have a shot at links once in the morning next year so that I’m not already completely fucking exhausted when I play it.

This and this again! It would be my only suggestion for change on the whole weekend.

This is going to take multiple posts with tag limits, but here it goes.

Thank you to @AlCzervik and @midwestgolfbum for the concept and execution of the event. You guys did a great job and I’m so happy we could raise good money for a great cause.

Meeting people and putting faces to usernames makes this blog so much more enjoyable. I can read positive (or at worst not negative) tone into posts and have a feel of where someone is coming from.

Heidel House Crew was a delight and I enjoyed the hang. I won’t tag you all but you know who you are. God Bless Texas.

To all my playing partners, I hope you enjoyed the experiences as much as I did. The asshole percentage for events is still 0%. Hearing @treeputttim story of getting into golf was inspirational. Watching @bignanski and @papateeps go at it with persimmons was a joyful time (Teeps, just switch to a persimmon driver). Convincing @ThatDuffGuyPat to ride the scooter was fulfilling when he said how much fun he was having. Alt shot (ish) with midwestgolfbum was a perfect start to Saturday before a wonderful front nine scramble on the Links before PoP caught up to me and I packed it in to go heckle. @PTM tee shot on 1 will be burned into my memory forever but at least it didn’t get burned into a windshield.

The Goose Blind hangs Thursday and Saturday were all time. Laughing it up with @Battisstatus and the crew was so fun as was the cameo appearance by @hellofriends.

Also,

Getting to see @Forty hit it in person was inspiring as well as seeing the flusher known as @OffTheDole again. I saw so many good moves out there, you too @Sweet_Cupn_Cake.

To my other Zoom crew people (and everyone else) @Jpop942 (so sorry if I’m missing anyone), it’s truly crazy/wonderful the good friends I have made on this board. I’ve been here since damn near the beginning and have made some of the best golf friends I could ask for. It may be weird explaining this place to other people, but I hit home with all sincerity the quality of people I’ve met.

And while I don’t agree with @JScore RGC takes on our group, I’ll defend his right to fire them off forever. Shooters shoot. It was good to see you again buddy.

And @OTPLefty you continue to be a delightful person that I would tee it up with any time.

Now after all that goodness, I did test positive for the Vid today, so I wanted to do my due diligence to let anyone know. I posted in the WhatsApp, but in case anyone didn’t see it.

And finally, @midwestgolfbum refused to let me pay for our round at his club Sunday and insisted we have some beers on him. In light of that and the fact that I am a moron for missing the 50/50, I’ll be making a donation for the cost of the round + to Gilette Children’s. It’s the least I could do.

Folks,

I have never grown out a mustache in my 34 years on the planet. I committed to the bit for the Ope…going through all the awkward and itchy patches. I was firmly committed to shaving it off when I got home. I Just wanted to share that my lovely wife has asked me not to shave my mustache as she has grown to like it. Potentially the best thing to come from the Ope? Who can say, but now as a mustachioed man (at least for a little while longer) …the sky is the limit.

It made me feel things I haven’t felt in a hot minute.
