I genuinely appreciate you giving me the opportunity to have the floor.
In all honesty, friends, putting to words how much Gillette means to me is almost impossible and that is coming from someone who can rarely shut the fuck up.
My 4 year old son and my 2 year old daughter were both born with a rare neurological condition and have been patients of the Gillette team essentially since they were born. Without the care and passion of these people, I don’t know where our family would be. They have helped in getting my son to take his first steps. And begin to communicate verbally. They have taught my daughter how to eat, and are currently working with special technology to allow her to better communicate with all of us. These people and this organization are truly wonderful.
These people do truly amazing things. And I start to tear up when I think of the positive impact they have had on my children and so many others.
I am literally wrapping up my work day in one of their facilities right now while my 4yo Son is attending a co-treatment with two of their therapists. (He does better without his parents in the room, we’re a distraction.)
Thank you
