Would 100% join “The Waffle House of Country Clubs.” There are waffles, right? Mmmm…waffles.
Do it now - initiation hike & waiting list is being seriously considered according to people I’ve talked to.
Erin Hills is an 8 mile walk I believe.
Back to you in the studio.
Logged over 8 last week playing Magnolia Green in Midlothian VA. There are plenty of 8 mile walk golf courses
Guess I’ll be giving up this club, no chance I’m messing up my knee running all those miles. And can’t run on a track or grass since there’s still a foot of snow everywhere.
If I use the spin bike everyday what’s an equivalent? 5 miles?
That’s a ton of miles! I only missed 4 days since March of last year doing 4 to 5 per day and I’m sitting around 1650 in the last year. Stay healthy and keep it up!
-Former mediocre DI college runner
I would propose a ratio of ~ 3 biking to 1 running. If I’m max effort on both for an hour, that’s about the ratio that I would expect.
Google confirms this ratio of bike:run.
I’d vote to proceed.
Sounds good to me. 100 miles for the month of March on the bike, just to make it a nice, round number.
Works for me.
Gotcha, 160 KM’s!!!
9 miles down. Liking this challenge. It helps it’s been a beautiful spring week here in GA
Along with the overall health or weight loss thread, coming off of a fractured ankle in December and Covid the last few weeks, my plan is to start the 1 mile a day
Very envious. Ran 2 miles in 20 degrees yesterday and thought my lungs would freeze solid. Supposed to start warming up this week though and I can make it up quick I hope.
It’s finally melting up here in MN but I’ve got some catching up to do. You’re a bad man, @RobertHunter. Thanks again for setting this up.
7 miles done for the challenge. First round in the books for 2021 today. 6+ mile walk. I hope I can run tomorrow!
Do those bike miles count to peloton miles?
In my experience, Peloton is a little fast. Maybe 150 for Peloton (gold badge for monthly challenge).
Thanks. Looks like the Mr. @RobertHunter has liked your post and I will take that as an approval as a substitute for running 31 miles.
Well I got in a little two-miler this morning, only 7 miles behind pace we’ll get there though
