If it helps, was in a similar position to you guys a few years ago. New to the area looking for a place to join after getting fed up with the public scene around Philly. Joined RG 3 years ago and it was the best golf decision I have ever made. Course is unreal and the membership is as fun as can be. If you have any questions feel free to reach out

RG is fantastic playing there Sunday.
I did something similar 3 years ago after moving back to Philly from Austin joining HVCC. I live in south philly now so admittedly the trip up on the weekdays can be pretty brutal but the course and membership is fantastic. It’s pretty inexpensive prior to 37 assuming you are a single member. There are a fair amount of late 20s to late 30s HVCC guys that live around me in the city which has also been great. Your ‘hitting off of hook lies’ game must be incredible. There’s not a single flat lie that I found on the first 8 holes at HVCC.
First 9 holes ball above your feet, finishing 9 holes ball below your feet. It evens out haha

Just played Glen Mills for the first time. The fog was pretty crazy this morning and you couldn’t see your ball land until the back 9, but even then I loved the layout. Some hero shots, carries, interesting tee shots, it’s awesome. The guys I played with said that the conditioning had gone downhill since the school closed and I could see it a little bit, but not a reason to avoid the course. That and Wyncote are 1 and 2 in my book for the best in the area

Also just played there today as well. Conditions definitely went downhill after the school closed, bc the kids at the school worked on the course and kept it nice. It’s still pretty damn nice though. School definitely needed to be closed though, if you know the story of why. Bad stuff
Whats up guys! Relatively new to the refuge, so figured I would check in. Have lived in the Philly burbs for almost 10 years now. Currently, a member at Kennett Square, and wouldn’t have a problem trading some rounds to meet new golf buddies.
