PGA 2K25 Refuge Tour - Info in post 152 - S25 starts 3/23/2025

I’m at 88 but I did a lot of that grinding on easier swing settings; when I bump it up to the ones the society uses I’m pretty hopeless. The swing bias is pretty tough for me.

I also think I picked the wrong archetype; I went with Magician because I thought it’d be fun to hit shots like Jordan Spieth (complimentary) but now I mostly hit shots like Jordan Spieth (derogatory).

Ok, catching up a bit… am I correct to understand that if we level up our clubs, but then change from the 2K clubs to a sponsor clubs, we lose those level up settings?

That is how I understand it. I watched some YouTube videos and they recommended pounding through the seasons to get the clubs you will want. But don’t apply any upgrades to the clubs till you know which ones will be your gamers.

So better off building up AP with earned VC first, maxing that out, and then leveling up clubs?

Going to have to grind out the Q-School finals like 20 times to earn enough VC to buy AP to play in the society event.

The settings are stuck with that club once you apply them yes. But the good thing is settings are only like 75 VC in the store so they’re easy to buy a lot of when you need to

Some of us can’t afford 75 VC right now.

The best part of this game is, instead of playing golf, I’m playing swing % meter.

I know I can probably google this, but I’m too frustrated to read. If I push the stick right on the follow-through, I hit a massive push slice. If I pull the stick right on the follow-through, I hit a massive push slice. What the fuck is the point of the swing stick?

I changed from a fade to a draw player, and the slice is even worse.

Go to driving range, press down right stick to enter practice swing mode and just grind out the swing that way.

Push slice means you are pulling down too far to the left (push), and rather than pushing it straight up from there you are pushing it upwards to the right (open clubface / slice).

Leveling up your swing path and contact attributes means that those same shots, suffer less of a push / slice penalty until your swing gets more dialed. Tilting your controller slightly and just feeling like you go up and down is a good tip.

Wait, I get it now. You aren’t trying to swing like Ludvig Aberg, you are actually trying to swing like Jim Furyk!

you will earn tons of club fittings through quests, I wouldn’t bother buying them.

You’re not far off, my swing has a natural loop in it and it works for me. Echoing @PurpATL, find a way to hold the controller that makes the movement more natural for you

Some different swing techniques are discussed and highlighted here. Find what works best for you

LOL, that was the most miserable experience playing a video game ever.

There is still a bug in the game that affects course conditions and pins when playing with a group. As of right now my plan is to still start our season on time and proceed as normal, I would just avoid playing with others for society rounds until this bug is patched.

God I feel so stupid that I never thought to try this. Thanks.

Forgot to add my qualifying scores to the spreadsheet. Apparently I can’t go back and check them until the next event starts

Somehow i got axed from the user list and cannot enter any scores because my name is not in the drop down box.

Edit: Fixed it.

Weird that it’s not listed as a current event, nor a completed event. I need to enter scores as well but can’t pull up the most recent event. My guess is it will be there tomorrow maybe?
