Each skill has another skill that is tied to it. As you increase Skill A, the max Ceiling on Skill B decreases. At a certain point, both skills are maxed out when you put enough points in them, and you have to spend your skill points on other skills. If you are at 10k, you should have plenty of skill points to use to get your player up to 99 or close to it
Fittings shouldn’t make anything worse They don’t have downsidtes, it might look like they are worse if you are replacing one fitting with another?
The big thing to increase skill is leveling up your clubs. As you level up the Gem (the last spot in the fittings), all the fitting slots do more.
I’m happy to send over some video resources on how the fitting/skill system works, but if the game is not enjoyable, definitely take a break. Not worth it when your relaxation/gaming time is stressful and not fun.
Got you. Respawn is one of my favorite 2K25 content guys and his stuff really helped me understand it. It’s easy once you go through it a few times in game, but can be long winded to explain, unfortunately.
this is kind of an all encompassing beginners setup guide to the game, the chapters go through the attribute points, skill tree, and club fittings
Everyone learns and absorbs information differently, so another 2K25 content guy I like is Ma_Kachada, he’s got a good guide as well. He gets super technical in the swing stuff with wind and elevation, but his general guide stuff is good even if you’re not that technical about how to play
Attribute Pts and Archetypes
Skill Pts
Club fittings
If you want to see someone talk through an entire player build including the player skills and club fittings and how they work together, Respawn’s technician is quite good
Very entertaining Twitch/Youtube videos and streams as well, if you’re just looking for some ridiculous golf match content or watching him try to survive in TGCT Plat
Can I say how cool it is to have your (almost entire) bag in real life in your virtual golf bag as well. Stuff little kid me would be going crazy over. Underrated good stuff.
It’s the little things! The addition of the 620 MBs made me want to log on and play immediately, I wanted to earn enough VC to buy them. I’m also now inexplicably grinding a greenskeeper to 99 so I can get the black Ping putter. Side note, technician is way better for swing skill stats.
I understand licensing challenges, but the cosmetics should be such an easy thing to do that adds an enjoyment factor for a lot of players. VC earning I think is now decently well balanced, so there is no real need to spend real money, the quests are granting enough extra VC that it seems reasonable.
Yeah I had just enough for the club bundle and the us open sweatshirt and then reset my career and played for like another 2.5 hours just grinding through the Qschool and the first few PGA tournaments. Back to where I was in terms of VC when I first logged in.
This is a good place to start but basically follow these instructions and make sure you give access for them to see your stats in game (I don’t remember the setting exactly but the tgc tours website will tell you.)
This is the discord which I believe has the updated PGA2k25 setting in there as well. I’ll try to post the image.
You only get a demotion mark if you are in the bottom 20% of the field in your specific tier right? The right side of the leaderboard will have marks denoting if you will get one or not.
Otherwise if you miss a cut it would just delete a green arrow if you had any.
3 weeks off and then we’ll start a new season on 7/8. This is to line some scheduling items up with the men’s and women’s Open Championships, and I want to do some silly szn/impossible challenge stuff as a bit of a break. I’m getting the final scores from the Butt Cup compiled now, so announcement on that forthcoming.
