It’s a good guide, but also make sure you focus on attributes you struggle with the most. So if swing path is something that could use a boost, load that up. Or if putting is a challenge, allocate points to that. It’s only 500VC to respec so it’s not a massive pain to redo stuff if you find that you need to re-allocate things.

Thank you very much. I appreciate it. Now let’s get building.

Unfortunately this did nothing for me. Wasn’t able to change the base settings.

With that said, joined the Society and played Pebble - definitely a different game than what I am playing in MyCareer but shot -4 with 4 bogeys. So kinda in my wheelhouse, the bogeys were early before I figured out the crooked swing path.

I think it does block you from changing career difficulty settings while an event is in progress, that could be why it didn’t let you

List of Courses/Designer

Donnybrook Cricket Club - Axol von Fersen
Royal Brunswick - Finlay
Shell Bay Links - b101
Geenmont Country Club - also by b101, but released as an “official course”
Hungtington Sound - also a b101 Official course
Silverpine Dunes - CrazyCanuck
Taliesin Golf Club - rjwils30
Moonah Beach - SleepyPanda7 (official course designer at HB, so if you do “show more” it just shows all the official courses)
Georgetown Island GC - Arctic Fury, but posted as an Official Course (apparently the icky light rough color was an error and will be fixed soon)
Highfield Golf Course - Another Arctic Fury Official course

I’m not sure how high the favorites list goes, but since you can now search by designer, when you add a course by someone you, can find more by them just by doing “show more by designer” from your favorites list

Edit: more central thread of courses that are being ported over here as well

If anyone else is playing the event in the society, let me know if you get the controller vibration. The setting is on, yet my controller isn’t giving any feedback. I just came from a my career round so I know it’s working there

The game has peaked, and it’s not even fully released yet

I found I had to plug my controller in to my PC to get the vibration, just using my controller via bluetooth doesn’t have vibration for some reason.

What’s weird is I am plugged in, I don’t ever use wireless. I switched back to My Career and the vibration is back. It just goes away when I’m in the society for some reason

I had to turn it off, turn it on, then do the “select controller” or what ever it is

the problem is I have to do that at the start of EVERY round, and that’s not great for divot durby as I discovered last night haha

Weird, I tried the select controller, and when I’m in the society it won’t let me turn the setting on or off since I just had it set to On in the society restrictions. Maybe I’ll change it to be Open and try to toggle. There have been a few bugs so I assume it’s just one of those.

I might have figured it out - apparently there is also an option to have vibration when swing path is off. I changed the society to be Open on vibration, but will have to wait until the next event to see if it fixed it. I guess it doesn’t reflect difficulty setting changes mid-event.

I only got it a few times and it was extremely light

Anybody noticed the pins not changing in my career for multiple day events? Have sig events set to two rounds and I’m getting the same pins at Pebble

about to pull the trigger on the game

I can confirm that the pins changed for me at Pinehurst for the week 3 tournament, but I’m playing 4 rounds. I have Farmers up next, then Pebble so once I get there I will see if the pin locations change for me.

Apparently Under Armour makes golf balls, who knew

Okay, with even just some fairly small attribute boosts and skills plus a couple more rounds of reps I think I’ve found it. -7 in the 4th round of my first attempt at Q-School (barely missed top 50) and then -11 in the first round of my second attempt.

One thing I’m noticing is that it feels extremely easy (too easy?) to hit stock drives and approaches at less than 100%. On 23 I found it very difficult to hit like a 97% iron so I would usually adjust the distance via shaping. At least so far on 25 I find it way easier to just take a little off

Definitely agree on the ease of hitting less than 100% power shots. Now that I have a player leveled up, I find that the evo swing is easier than the swing in 23 for me.
