Expect a BUNCH of 2k25 content Thursday morning when the embargo drops. There are quite a few people that have had access to early copies of the game making content to drop right away, though admittedly a lot of what I am aware of are tutorials for the course designer.

I heard that Canuck already has a course built. I know Respawn is gonna be live streaming all day Thurs as well, itāll be good to get a decent look at everything before playing on Friday. Iāve got a medical procedure Friday morning so I am hoping by the afternoon Iāll be in a state that I can sit at the PC and play.

I went to look up the legend version for PS5 and only saw it for XBox at $120, which seems a bit steep for a week early access. Iāll grab it next Friday though! Looks like there are some awesome changes.
Well you are essentially pre paying for 5 seasons of battle passes. So if you plan to play this game a bunch over the coming year or 2, I think that + all the cosmetics from preorder + cosmetics from leveling up battle pass is worth it. Not to mention, some of the clubs from the battle pass are pretty solid. (pay for convenience for sure)

Respawn also had a video about Clubhouse Pass - his opinion, if you like the cosmetic stuff, itās worth the price. If youāre good with just whatever is stock in the pro shop, maybe donāt bother.

Nice, I am really looking forward to diving in. I likely wonāt do any designs from scratch but I am tempted to give my home course a go as an RCR. I already did Sedgefield in 23 but Iām now over at Cardinal.
I know itās already been revealed that proper sod walled pot bunkers arenāt there, but they hinted that theyād be coming with St. Andrews in season 2. I hope they find a way to get them into the designer, rather than just cobbled together for the official version of the course.
I think the fact you can always retroactively complete passes is a massive plus.

One thing I really hope they fix, I bought the expensive package last time, so you got like Tiger, and extra currency, and a few other things. I claimed that all when it became available. Iāve been getting reminders to claim that shit for two years after Iād already claimed all of it.
Also, I know this isnāt going away because itās just a part of sports games now, but if Iām paying between $70 and $120 for your game, stop fucking wasting my time with ads for other games.

The splash screen ads that constantly pop up on the main menu in 23 are very annoying. I think the golf games are the only 2K branded sports games Iāve played and they certainly try to sell their other titles to you. Iāll say this, if that happens to you again reach out to the devs, so far theyāve been quite responsive with the community and HB Studios seems to be willing to listen - guarantee you werenāt the only one with that issue.
I think I saw in 23 there is still an ad for some in game currently/extras pack, like who is dropping $50+ on that now? At that point you may as well buy the new game. And if trends hold, 2K25 is gonna go on sale for like $30 in three months.

The difference between these two is just applying āSurface weatheringā to the entire course is various amounts. The variety of course looks weāre going to get is going to bonkers
also MOW LINESā¦are possible but incredibly tedious. Since you can spline them, b101 basically manually splined half of ever fairway to be weathered, to look like a mow line, instead of the default āall one directionā mow lines we used to have that didnāt line up with the direction of the hole and looked bad.
b101 has I think 5 courses are are in WIP right now but should be released in the next week or so.
