SEASON 22 - WEEK 1 UPDATE - Blockie’s Open
Looks like we’ll have to think of a new name for this one next year, who would have guessed. Anyway, hopefully Valhalla was a fun course to play in the digital world, even if the architecture doesn’t leave much to the imagination.

Anyone know what the deal is with the designer ArchitexMaze? Seeing courses pop up everywhere designed by them and they are phenomenally well decorated/planted. I am enjoying playing the courses just to look around and see the detail. I don’t have a really good eye from a course architecture standpoint, IRL they would be quite interesting but for the purposes of video game golf I feel that my player can just overpower them all. I’m mostly curious if they’re doing the ArcticFury method of reusing the same plot over and over.

It’s time to get weird. First wacky fantasy course of the season is up, and it’s EP’s Rock for the Mega Line Challenge Pt II. (part 1 was at EP’s Landing from Season 19 if anyone wants to give that a go). Good luck, screenshots are encouraged for ending up in insane places. Remember that taking an unplayable is an option from the start menu of the game.

I caromed off the front left rocks and this was the best it offered me as a drop. I was thinking about doing it just for the content but the more I thought about it, it kind of seemed like the best option with how long the green was from this angle.

This is fair. I’ve just gotten so accustomed to the terrible commentary at this point across 20+ years and several different sports franchises that I kind of just tune it out.
