There was an update last week but I think it was mainly content based
Is it maybe related to the skill activation things? I suddenly started getting the blue traj line on some of my shots, and Iām pretty sure itās because of some thing Iāve somehow activated with bad play
Could be. I just know I played my best rounds since quitting the society a few seasons ago.
Thatās just a setting. I think in our society itās turned on all the time. You can also set it so that it only shows when youāre moving the cursor, or you can turn it off entirely. I think we have it locked though. Itās not a level-up.
For our societies I believe it should be an Open setting, or optional for players. At least thatās how it is set up on PC I think. As far as I know the traj line is purely visual and does not impact performance.
Huh. I didnāt have it the first several rounds I played, and now I have it sometimes, even though I havenāt changed the settings. Weird.
The Dumpster Fire - WEEK 10 UPDATE
The Tour hopes that the Dumpster Fire was everything that you thought it could be, and more. In all honestly, I will be taking feedback into consideration, the idea of this event is that it can be difficult, borderline unfair at times, but that scores are out there.
Individual flight winners:
- Young Hitters: @BlakeG gets the best of everyone to wrap up the season with 6 wins. Some true competition in the last few events though so this is promising for next season.
- C-Suite: @BoomBaby812 posts a score that would have been good enough for a podium in YH, so well deserved 3 shot win here.
- Strapped: @Jeff_M manages to only have a few water balls and holds it together to win.
- LPCP: @mlakota completes the hat trick, not for a lack of a weak field though, there were a few chasing but came up just short.
The last of the regular season points titles have been decided, so we have:
Strapped: @Jeff_M managed to pull a few decent rounds out to claim the title here. Look for him to try to move up to C-Suite next season, there will be more practice happening in the coming weeks.
LPCP: @mlakota wasnāt taking any chances to round out the season with a win to lock up the points title.
As a reminder, we had @BlakeG win YH and @BoomBaby812 win C-Suite.
We have an off-week now, so time to prepare for the playoff event. @mctrees02 just tagging you in here in case some of the data needs looking at for handicap calculations.
As a reminder, here are the stipulations for the playoff:
- In order to qualify for the playoff, you MUST have played in a minimum of 6 events if you played the two majors, 7 events with 1 major, or 8 events with no majors. This requirement is to meet the minimum number of rounds to calculate your handicap.
Prize breakdown for the playoff is as follows:
Podium places get shop credit:
1st: $125
2nd: $75
3rd: $25
*NOTE: The Commissioner (Jeff_M) is not eligible for prizes. If he places on the podium of the playoff, the prize will be pushed to the next eligible player.
Thank you for being here on the Refuge Tour. Hopefully this regular season has been enjoyable for most. Thank you to all participants, and we hope to see you around the virtual golf course for many rounds to come. I plan to run it back for another season rather soon, so stay tuned for details after the conclusion of the playoffs.

Huge thanks for a great time. Joined last season and glad to finally find a fun, competitive for everyone society. Please keep a few silly season courses and post reminders to take an unplayable. I was cracking up at some of the struggles everyone was posting. There should be an award (non-monetary) for toughest spot to be on course for those events just to encourage posting. @BlakeG can just show us his gimmies.
Quick announcement and thread bump here, the Playoffs are upon us and rounds open tomorrow (I guess technically tonight on the game). I am running through handicap calculations now and will have a leaderboard populated with names and handicap strokes by tomorrow morning!
REFUGE TOUR COMMUNICATIONS
For Immediate Release
The Season 19 (insane that weāve kept this going for so long, thank you all!) Butt Cup Playoff is set! All season handicaps for qualifying players have been calculated based on individual round scores through the season. All playoff qualifiers will find their names pre-populated in the tab called PLAYOFFS. I have alphabetized it for ease of use, so itās not necessarily in order of rank/strokes. Simply input your scores for each round in relation to par, and the total score will be calculated with your handicap automatically upon completion of all 4 rounds.
Prize breakdown for the playoff is as follows:
Podium places get shop credit (shoutout to @ChickPhilA and the small shop for hooking this up):
1st: $125
2nd: $75
3rd: $25
If you would like to see the official rankings for players with enough rounds to qualify, see below and you may also consult the tab called ORGR END OF S19
*For the purposes of my calculations, higher numbers indicate the best player, opposite of what the real golf handicap system is

Doesnāt look like thereās a playoff event up on Xbox yet, paging @notjk @DetroitGolfer19
Iāll get it up there now
I love Yale. One of my favorites in real life and in the game. Left a bunch out there but loved every hole. Canāt wait til Gil gets done with it.
Thought this was really fun! Yale seems like a blast, hope I play it IRL at some point. With that said: I want to fire the humps in 16 fairway into the sun. I donāt know if a ball would sit on the side of them in real life but I was hitting my second off probably a 20+ degree slope 3/4 rounds.
P.S. - can low gross get a pack of tees or something ![]()
I added a column to calculate low gross, I can do a custom ballmarker or something! -55 is pretty strong, weāll see if someone can beat that.
Jeff, did not realize we ended on Saturday, got up early today to finish. Can I post on my own w/the competition set up?
Edit: for completion only, not eligible for any prize.
Oh shoot, it should have gone through today. For sure, play rounds and post scores, no worries
Oh sweet, this happened to me too so Iāll play / post tonight.
Yep everyone can post scores through tomorrow afternoon, Iāll finalize it tomorrow after dinner time, so letās say 8pm eastern time cutoff. Course and settings are in the schedule if the event in-game has ended.
Alright everyone, time for the season wrap up and winner announcements from the playoff/final. First just wanted to thank everyone for their participation, itās not quite the massive operation we had back when 2K21 first came along and @JBors was running wild with spreadsheets, but we have a good core group and have built on that to have a good healthy competition still going.
For those who may not know or are newer, this whole thing kicked off when the pandemic first reared its head when Refuge Tour Founder @TCRBrad pitched the idea and ran with it that we do a Refuge Tour to keep everyone occupied and to have some friendly competition. Iām honestly very impressed and grateful that it continues even today with a fairly large group of players, so for that, thank you.
I want to shoutout our admin team who have helped keep things running on the in-game societies, contributed course setups, and generally assisted with Tour operations. @mctrees02 devised the new handicapping system that is done in a way that even I could understand and replicate it, which is no small feat. And shoutout to @DetroitGolfer19, @notjk, @WhineyCracker52, and @Jrembold.
Post with the winner announcements will follow, since I can only tag 10 at a time and it would put me one over the limit.
