Not happy about buying a new controller that I only need for one game, but this did the trick.

Yeah not an ideal solution for a single game, but glad it resolved the issues. I do wonder if they tuned the sensitivity down a bit if it would make it too arcade. Comparing this game vs EA I can go absolutely wild with the stick in EA PGA and still hit straight shots.
I learned recently that TGCtours has some way to check controller inputs and if your controller is inconsistent enough they DQ you, and let you know to get a new controller before playing again.
Found that out in my first tournament. Also not super stoked to buy a new controller for literally 1 game that I use a controller to play, but Iāve had my suspicions my controller sucked for a while.
I had that happen back with 2K21, it was an old PS4 controller and I guess it had lost some sensitivity. Itās in place to crack down on cheaters, there are controllers out there that allow the user to set up the stick so it only moves vertically so they can get a perfect back and through swing every time. Iām sure there are also software tricks you can use too, but they will easily pick up on that.
Did they send you a notification? I somehow ended up with double demotion marks from an event, and I thought maybe it was because I was sure Iād missed the cut and didnāt play the last two rounds, but maybe I actually made the cut and it counted as a WD. But it could also have been because of this. I didnāt get an email though. Iāve heard about them DQing people who bought controllers that made the game too easy, so when I bought a second, I just made sure to buy another stock controller from Sony.

The reason the system has not accepted your scores is that your round data did not pass the metrics of our Fair Play Policy.
Because the game experience can be so widely varied based on your controller or mouseās sensitivity, we have established a baseline of metrics that ensure that there is an equitable amount of difficulty for all users. Certain input devices are not sensitive enough to provide the same level of difficulty that is experienced by the majority of our players that are using properly functioning stock Xbox and PlayStation controllers.
This week, your rounds fell below our baseline metrics for Fair Play. There are a variety of reasons that this could be the case. This could include:
- You are using a third-party controller (such as a Hori, Logitech or Power A manufactured controller) and not an Microsoft-manufactured Xbox or Sony-manufactured PlayStation controller. If your controller has a built-in wire, it is a third-party controller. There are also wireless third-party controllers. But there are no Microsoft-manufactured or Sony-manufactured controllers with a built-in wire.
- You are using a mouse that isnāt sensitive enough or with settings that need to be adjusted to make it more sensitive and/or increase the length of your swing
- Your controller is old and worn
- Your controller is malfunctioning
- You are using Steam Link
- You are using third-party software to connect your controller to the game
Please understand this is NOT an accusation of cheating. Most users who have fair play issues are not cheating and able to correct their issue for the next tournament.

Holy shit. Maybe I just need a new controller on Xbox.
Not sure if itās still a thing, but I know the top tour leaderboards on TGCT used to skew heavily in favor of Playstation. I donāt know if it was down to the different controllers or how the game performed on different platforms. This was in the 2K21 and prior days so maybe that still holds true.
I probably need a new controller anyway, but Iāll be damned if I wont wait until it actually stops working.
Almost happened when I dropped it a few weeks ago and the right stick started stickingā¦but it loosened up after a bit of use.
It looks like my practice during the off-season has paid off so I want to get out ahead of this a bit. As Commissioner, I am ineligible for the prizes at the end of the playoff event. I can still lay claim to my finishing place, but any prize will be forfeited and pushed to the next eligible player.

I might have found what is simultaneously the best and the worst course in the game. Designer evenprime is one Iāve recently found has insane fantasy courses, EPās Timber Falls might be his best and worst work. It is an absolute gauntlet, there are āsafeā lines and spots to play to, but many holes tempt you to try the mega line to the green off the tee. If I use this for the silly season this fall I predict rage quits and Iām here for it.

The Central-Northern California Open - WEEK 1 UPDATE
Our season opener was named after many ponderings on California geography courtesy of the Shotgun Start guys, we hope everyone has gotten off to a good start for the season.
Individual flight winners:
- Young Hitters: @BlakeG is back, baby. There are a couple potential challengers lurking, letās see how things go from here.
- C-Suite: @BoomBaby812 comes in hot with the final two rounds double digits under par to surge ahead.
- Strapped: @PullFade squeaks out a W by one shot, a few others trailing close behind. This could be the most competitive flight top to bottom, one to watch this season.
- LPCP: @Jeff_M wins here, fuckthatguy.gif. Some bullshit about off-season practice was spewed after holing out on 18, but we all know heās a bagger.
We welcome back @anon24074719, who will find a new home in LPCP. Also joining are @mlakota and @snaphookleft, who are also in LPCP. That flight is getting stacked but in the name of fairness, the qualifying scores are the closest to strokes gained 0 there.
