you can decorate your golf ball with a bucket hat. Glad they spent time working that out.
They also left HV3 in the game

I mean, I guess this makes sense. But if you are a player that âdoesnât want to pay $$ for that ball, doesnât have enough VC to buy the ball or doesnât even know it existsâ that sounds like you a âyouâ problem and not a âmeâ problem and âyouâ shouldnât be complaining about it.
(Obviously not talking about YOU specifically but rather an individual user problem)
I am interested to see what the difference is when playing others when you take into account the club fittings. I think that will have a bigger impact than the golf balls.
I admire that everyone seems to be more concerned about the balls than about the fact that you apparently canât standardize difficulty settings in society play. Yâall trust each other way too much⌠(and also believe in everyoneâs technical competency to actually set the setting correctly)
At least 10 posts per week asking about the society settings.
Is this true? You canât limit the balls available (you canât limit the clubs available in 2K21, so Iâm not completely surprised), but I havenât heard anything about being unable to standardize the difficulty settings and course conditions.
Nintendo Switch users coming back from purgatory to check-in on how the 2k23 Refuge Tour experience is going:
I played for a little while last night. The new menus will take time to get used to navigating.
Swing calibration is identical to last years game but still a must. I played first round of myCareer QSchool and this version while gameplay is much improved IMO it is harder. I think my main issues are getting used to the timing of everything. I was on pro settings and finished -3 on 18 holes. I am used to shooting in the -10 range on any course. The new swing meter is annoying. the timing does not sync with the golfers swing which throws me off way more than I anticipated.
I havenât looked into it, but did the PGA Tour figure out a way to dual license with both 2K and EA? Very surprised to see that tweet come from the official Tour account.
Trying to understand all this putt speed info and all I can think is maybe we embrace the obvious andâŚno more putting! Chipping only on the greens. If youâre caught putting, youâre out.
Kinda like the no chipping rule now, but the inverseâŚ
Honestly, the best part of the NBA 2K games are the âmy careerâ mode so Iâm just hoping they took some of that and added it to this game. Will micro-transactions stink? Yes. Will stop me from playing the shit out of it? No.
Sadly @JBors is unable to continue in his role as Shadow Commissioner Spreadsheet Guru and Overall Wizard, Iâll do my best using last seasonâs sheet as a template when we do get a new season going (the handicapped non-flighted event is likely where it would all go sideways for me), but if anyone out there is good with that sort of thing and would like to be on the admin team, let me know. Not much of a time commitment unless you want it to be
Good luck everyone
I can help
I assume we have lots of time to find someone. The EA game doesnât come out until spring.
Will keep you on standby, we have it covered for now, thank you!

so weâre fully out on this new game right?
Out? I now find out that Rickie Fowler, and potentially âAinât No Hobbyâ merch is in the game? I couldnât be anymore in.
I did watch that Respawn Sports video that @mctrees02 posted, and the ball explanation system sounded like astrophysics to me, itâs crazy. I incorrectly assumed it would just be like clubs in 2K21, you could pick a Titleist Pro V, or AVX, and each ball would have certain characteristics and you would have to pay to reload them. This whole wacky system of different ball types is very similar to what WGT has done for a long time, and itâs going to go the exact same way. 99% of people are just going to use the default ball.
