That is correct. Your player animation may throw their club from a very very fast tempo…but the ball will still fly whatever power % you swung.
It feels weird at first…but then it’s quite liberating because you’re only focusing on hitting the shot shape and power w/o fearing the soul crushing tempo miss.

I got my tempo issues squared away on PS4 and then the game decides to give me a trio of red fasts on the first hole of Kinetic Round 2. Fortunately it’s a right dogleg par 5 with water everywhere off the tee so even though I was aiming well left and only needed my drive to go about 230 to reach dry land…3 straight drives snapped right into the water and my tourney was over.

yep. That one was inexplicable. Once my fourth drive went in the water, it finally found a spot for me to drop other than the tee box and I hit a 101% perfect 3 wood up onto the green. Missed the putt for 10 though…

Lots of tempo complaints on the Challenge Circuit thread, and not just that it’s hard, but that it’s completely unpredictable. Which is what I’m experiencing as well. But I’m only really getting that on master with no swing meter. I torched the fairways in our event this week. I was puring everything. And I don’t think I was even top five in fairways on PS.

For those of you who are into adventure golf, I just published Playa Adventure. It’s one part reversible holes from Playa Pilar and one part putting course. Make sure to use your putter on the putting green even when it hands you a wedge…or an 8 iron. Enjoy!

Really enjoyed it. Greens are sick! I kept thinking my approach shots were gonna be close only to roll away.
14 and 16 in R4 were especially insane.

Legendary with swing timing off is a revelation. I have no fear in the swing anymore. Tested it out at Playa Pilar with default setting and went -10. I’m excited about this game again.

It feels fun to play again. Not a grind, which is exactly what I don’t want in video game golf.

Couldn’t agree more - but also curious as to where scores end up.
Thinking there could be a 8-way tie for 1st in YH at like -60 each event.
If the organizers were fine with someone shooting 60 over in LPCP then they should be fine with someone shooting 60 under in YH.
