Yes we can. I can get the changes implemented in a day or two when Iām back home.
I dont disagree with this sentiment and, other than at Kiawah, I havenāt found the game materially harder beyond having to avoid partial splash shots (which were always a gimmicky shot to begin with).
That being said, I think thereās a good argument to make that our group of XBox players, which have always faced hardest console to rise to the top on in both TGC19 and 2k21, have been further punished by these changes. Iāll use some TGCT data for this point.
TGCT runs monthly promotional events where roughly 1000 players from every tour can quickly jump up multiple flights with a good result. In the first four events (before HB nerfed the swing), the top XBox players finished 13th, 5th, 7th, and 3rd. In the two events since the swing nerf, the top XBox player has finished in t-85th (21 shots off the lead) and t-54th (20 shots off the lead). In the later event, XBox players made up 18.5% of the field but 5.2% of their players finished within 30 shots of the leader. Put another way, if all things were equal across consoles, you would expect 28 of their players in the top 153 players rather than 8.
Get out of here with facts and scienceā¦.
Sound like XBox guis need to play better.
Thank you
Yo who the fuck is @jives. Chill bro
Mercedes Season 13 recruit. Hopefully he can draw @chunkerr out. Youāre welcome.
@BigtimePolecat itās that easy man.
Iāve played about 10 TGCTours and other Master-level society rounds over the last 36 hours and I feel like the master full-swing timing has gotten a bit more lenient. It could be that Iāve improved, but I really doubt thatās the case.
Since the major updates, I havenāt been able to carry over successful swing timing feels from hole to hole and round to round, but now Iām doing it with regularity. This morning I even picked up right where I left off last night without having to burn a few holes trying to find it.
Granted there are still a few red fasts and slows here and there, but they donāt feel random. I can tell I didnāt make the right pass.
Anyone else noticing more swing consistency on master rounds?
On TGCT settings, about 90% of the time I get a red fast, I feel like I earned it. About 40% of the time I get a red slow, I feel like I earned it. The slows seem more random. Iāve gotten a lot better at pitch shots, either because Iām forced to use them more often, or because they made them easier. Still no consistency to my game though, as a closing 77-62-72 in the last tournament shows. Iām much worse on TGCT settings than our settings relative to other players. Guis who I can beat here pretty regularly kick my ass over there.
This is pretty much my thoughts, some of the slow swings leave me scratching my head, but almost all the time on the fast ones I can be like, yep that was on me.
Right now I feel like Iām about the same in Elite Tour and the YH flight here relative to the competition, kind of a middle of the road player who will throw a low number in every once in a while.
Man, LPCP just sitting there begging for someone to throw up a number, any number. Did someone call a strike and I didnāt hear about it?
I am the lone number, and funny enough I was pissed off after my first round, saw all the complaining on the thread, took an hour break, came in with the fresh start and threw up two under par rounds. I guess seeing I was not the only one struggling with the changes inspired me to just go under par

I may be looking for a way to permanently play out of the Qualifiers flight. I had two shots literally inside the cart barn right and below of 17 in my second round.
Gave the new event a shot - even used a different controller.
Nope. Complete waste of time.
Iāll keep my eyes peeled for the new season/settings (hopefully) in a few weeks.
What the hell
Fun course, good pick. Although I probably only made 55 feet of putts in 54 holes. The greens were crazy. Also, special shout out to hole #17, which sucked. I was +7 on that hole this week.
Clearly the ball went through the hole, down into the core of the earth, and popped back out right where you originally hit it from.
Next time try hitting it softer.
