Peoria Korn(Kan) Ferry Tour Qualifier - TBD 2022 - (Also a Busch Light Mega-Thread)

Speaking of getting kicked in the teeth. 43-36 at lick creek today. We tried to finish before the downpour and failed. Drenched during our second shots on 18 until we got in the house. I need to go to the dentist.

How are the traps coming along out there? That’s going to be sweet when they’re finished.

Bumping this event. Going to call later this week to cancel any extra tee times.

Get in here and sign up.

Looking like a brisk morning on Sunday. I cancelled the early two tee times so we have 9:20 and 9:30. Looking forward to a fun day of getting beat up on the course. Two open spots if anyone is interested in joining.

Apologies to all, but I’m a late scratch for tomorrow due to a miscommunication regarding youth sports schedules. Hope y’all have a fun day out there though!

Sorry to hear about the mixup. Hope we can get out sometime for a round.

Me and @RunItOut are running late, would like the latest time available. Hope to roll in by 9:30.

Any chance 9:40 is still open or no?

I’ll check.

They said we’ll be alright.

Successful little meetup here at Lick Creek. Greens were punched a couple weeks ago which was a bit of a bummer, but it’s that time of year.

And it’s camo can season.

Appreciate you putting this together and giving us a reason for some excellent fall golf! Was a fantastic round.

Glad you were able to make it out.

Got a Peoria Park District email about 2024 season passes. Only $925 to walk all three courses is the steal of the century.

A few years ago I got the young adult rate with Pekin Park District, believe it was like $425 for the year. Granted there’s only 2 courses but I’d put both of them against any course in Peoria (still haven’t played Kellogg).

All this to say, a ton of really good public golf down here.

The three Peoria courses are nothing compared to Lick, it’s not even a close competition.

They changed the routing of Kellogg and I’m interested to see how it changes the cohesiveness of the round. There were times you’d walk past tee boxes to get to your next hole in the old layout. It was my favorite of the 3 in Peoria.

This seems to be a pretty common thought from what I’ve heard, wanted to get out last year and just never made the effort. Definitely this year.

As you said, Lick is far and away better but even Parkview is a very fun course IMO. Extremely hilly so lots of fun blind shots. It’s the perfect scruffy muni that has 0 ego. I beat it up with after-work 9s when I had my membership since it was a much easier walk than Lick and a lot of times I’d be the only person there after my 3rd-4th hole.

As a hack, I’ll gladly drive to play Lick over any PPD course.

I’d have to play 18-20 times to break even on a pass. Not gonna tie myself into Park District courses.

I’d be very curious to see PPD pass sale numbers over the last 5-10 years, minus Covid.

I also like Parkview.
