Big win for Idaho to be mentioned alongside Scotland. Maybe a little insulting for Scotland tho.

Might just be a me thing, but when I start a post in Discourse it is taking a while to “zoom out” to see the reply button.

This is a new issue. Eventually it will do it or I have to turn the phone horizontal and back to vertical.

@ChickPhilA Are we no longer able to change the title of threads?

I’m trying to update one and it doesn’t give me the option.

54

Locked for now as we are transisioning stuff, will be open again for certain “trust levels” after the “move”. You can DM any of the mods to update thread titles in the meantime.

@ChickPhilA When will we get to change thread titles again? Is there a timeline on that or are we locked in to a time capsule forever?

Update!!!

Refuge reorg is complete.

You’ll see a host of new categories to help organize topics so it’s easier to find what you’re looking for.

New topics can be created now by users, but they will go through moderator approval first so we can catch dupe threads from the get go.

We also have it set so that some “super users” will be able to change thread titles and add topic tags behind the paywall. How this group is calculated is through a proprietary formula we’ve come up with. Basically, if you’re here A LOT and read A LOT and a Nest Member, there’s a good chance you’re in this group. I’ll be adding folks through the day today.

Here’s a category breakdown for everyone.

In front of the Nest paywall:

  1. NLU Content Discussion - this seems obvious, but it’s where you can discuss NLU content. There are subcategories for the NLU podcast, Trapdraw, NLU videos and NLU Writing.

  2. The Portico - a place for us to rotate threads from behind the paywall as a sneak peek at what you can find when you join the Nest.

  3. Get Involved! - everything about getting out and playing with other Refugees and Nest Members. Subcategories are Find golf friends, where you will find the roll-calls, Refuge & Roost Events for community led events, NLU hosted events for exactly what it says and Doing Good for community and NLU led charity initiatives. There’s also a Refige Feedback sub-category here for exactly what it says: feedback re the Refuge message board.

  4. NLU Roost HQ - all info and posts about Roosts that aren’t specific events. This is where each of our Roost sub-categories live. When you join a Roost you’ll gain access to your Roost’s sub-category.

BEHIND THE PAYWALL:

  1. Nest Member hub/FAQs - everything Nest related. There are subcategories for each kind of Nest content, too.

  2. NLU adjacent - the place to discuss things adjacent to NLU content (think “where should Strapped go next,” etc. sub-category for Feedback for NLU here too

  3. In the Gallery - everything about WATCHING golf, the pro/high am game, etc…

  4. Teeing it up - everything about PLAYING golf. Equipment, tales from the course, “golf talk, etc…

  5. Not Us - non-nlu centric golf media talk. EAL, Shotgun Start, Barstool, Golf Channel, etc…

  6. Travel Planning and Course Discussion - golf trip planning/help, specific course threads, all the Brandon threads, etc…

  7. Not Golf - talk all sports that are NOT golf.

  8. The Den (non-golf hobbies and entertainment) - what are you watching, listening to, making, eating and more

  9. The Real World - all the stuff you have to deal with. Jobs, kids, getting married, health and fitness, etc…

  10. The Marketplace - what are you buying and where are you buying it. The Silk Road lives here as well as all the other buy/sell/trade threads.

  11. The Island of Misfit toys - remains as the catch all for the memes, crazy hypotheticals and more.

Remember - use the search bar before you make a new topic!

Use the category tags to find more topics related to the tag subject!

As usual, if you see something, say something and reach out if you have any questions.

Happy Refuging!
