As the resident Kohler defender of the Supper Club (it’s getting harder and harder by the day I question my life choices) this seems very steep cost wise. If you’re gonna do a trip like this I have no idea why splurging for lodging at The American Club instead of the Inn at Woodlake which is geared towards these sorts of buddy trips is a good idea. But if anyone does partake hit me up I can offer some suggestions and cost savers
Also frankly would invite ya over for a beer, BBQ, or something. For perspective I live 1 mile from The American Club
Edit 2: I don’t read good: No gratuity included what are we doing here
Edit 3: I’m on a roll but sorry it’s a Monday: Anyone in this thread planning, doing, or debating a trip to Whistling Straits or Blackwolf Run please let me know. Confident in saying I’m the closest Nest member to Blackwolf for sure and probably Whistling Straits too along with 7 years working there and current ties to the resort, happy to help if I can
Also, and this was done in full knowledge and blessing of The Supper Club’s Director of Gaming @midwestgolfbum after >1 High Life this Saturday, we are now officially 74 days away from the Ope 4!
Yeah, no way in hell I was signing up for this trip. Assuming the hotel is $500/night, they’re asking me to pay $500 per round, 3 of which are at Blackwolf Run, and one of those is a 9 hole par 3 course. Hard pass, unless one of the tee prizes is a hooker.
I was just posting it to demonstrate how absurd so many of these organized golf trips are.
The Baths is really good, and their putting course is fantastic, but only 10 holes is very tough compared to 17 at The Sandbox for example. Couple that with drink and food prices there is so much better
The Inn at Woodlake also has a putting green (like real grass the BWR people maintain it like their actual greens) behind it right along the lake. I don’t understand why any buddies trip goes anywhere but the Inn?
Also the amount of money gambled on that putting green is absurd
Get out of the car at Spring Valley next to @McDuffin and @baldvinny, who offers me a donut. (It was delicious, no ragrets; see related post in Ope Weight Loss Challenge thread.)
Turn around and next thing I know @PTM is handing me this.
So Mrs Ultra Kiger just came up with this and sent it to me. I’m a very lucky gui, very happy she supports me being able to hang out with y’all. Figured I’d share it here, and was with her blessing. For being from south of the cheddar curtain she’s alright (the best)
