The 2019 football season. Just all of it. Going 9-0 to start the year, beating #4 Penn State at home and then sitting out back with an old fashioned and a cigar, getting talked about in the playoff conversation, making a 31 hour trip home to tailgate when College GameDay came to campus for the wisconSIN game, and then ending with the Outback Bowl in Tampa when we were living there and smoking a brisket for the tailgate with a bunch of friends from MN. That season was so damn fun.

That whole day was so fun. Shoveling the grass to clear space for Kubb, wandering around in the snow at GameDay. Snow during the game. Trudging through the snow home. The result didn’t go the way I would have liked, but that’s MN sports.

I went up to see a bunch of buddies who were former Badger fans until college allegiances had them switch sides. Made for a ton of fun all around and getting drunk with them in the snow was the cherry on top.

Funny story talking to Dave on Saturday.
Craig Haltom has asked him several times about buying the course. “It could be a $150/round course.” Dave said it’s not on the table, he’s not looking at kicking leagues and the community out of the place.
