I’d fuck.
I won’t lie, it felt incredible being able to roll into the Goose Blind with the trophy to applause. It made rushing over to meet you to receive the trophy right before that massive thunderstorm rolled in even more sweet.
The trophy is on my desk, a foot away from my medium-length arms. I can see my reflection in it right now.
I just got a new driver off Callaway Pre-owned, an Ai Smoke TD, and a new Ai Smoke Max 3W so I’m good there.
Really the only club I could use a proper, real fitting for would be the putter. While I have an Odyssey 7 Ai One that I picked up slightly used and it’s been good, there’s always that feeling that there could be something just a little better out there in custom fitting land.
The Ping PLD fitting in Scottsdale has always intrigued me ever since I talked to a few people I know who’ve been through it.
The absolute first thing that comes to mind is how welcome I felt the first time I attended.
That probably sounds a bit corny but it meant so much to immediately feel like I made the right choice to fly to Madison, Wisconsin and meet up with a bunch of fellow Refuge members, most of whom I’d never met and a few that I knew from Zooms and Roost events in the South.
Something I’ll never forget is @Nickygifts striping the ball and putting a hurting on us in our carts match.
Edit: Used the word feel / felt a lot. I guess I’m just in my feelings today.
I see @bignanski roaming around back there, a moment for the press Mr. Nanski?
“Any truth to the reporting that you’re scoping out local Green Lake facilities to host a leg wrestling tournament?”
The chronically online guy is available for questions? Who could’ve predicted this?
I wish I could turn off notifications for 5 hours a day
Please respect my family’s privacy at this time
@bignanski thanks for your time.
Wanted to ask a few questions
1.) what’s your favorite golf equipment manufacturer?
2.) root beer or cream soda?
3.) you get to play a combo 18 of holes from the Lawsonia courses. You have to pick which side you want from woodlands and links. Could be front front, back back, etc. what is the combo you go with?
Mr. Status, no need to thank me. I’m always happy to speak with an esteemed member of the Ope media such as yourself.
Honestly this is a tough one since I’m pretty brand agnostic, but overall I think the hitters at Titleist are putting out a consistently good to great product. And you have to respect their resistance to the herd mentality of the 1-year equipment cycle. To me, that’s just textbook corporate greed at work and it’s nonsense.
Root beer by a mile. Where my Barq’s hitters at?
Good question, Damon! As I sit and think on it, I’m coming up with “no wrong answers”, but that does make it more difficult to choose. I think I want back-back by the tiniest of margins.
If you could ask any member of the Ope field a question, who would you want to talk to?
Probably wandering Walmart at 2am wearing Cookie Monster pajama pants.

Eww. Barqs has bite.
If I’m drinking pop it damn well better have caffeine (and sugar, for that matter). 1919 Draught is probably the best out there but that’s a special category.
I think I’d be interested in delving into the interworkings of the great @PTM
If I’m drinking pop for caffeine I’ll drink Mt Dew like a damn adult.
A moment for the press?
You misconstrued me (on purpose). Caffeine isn’t the point, just a requirement. Diet/Zero/Caffeine free? No thanks.
I’ll misconstrue until a lawyer advises me otherwise. TYVM.
A&W gallons by the tap at an old school drive-in cannot be beat. Sometimes sugar beat caffeine
