My dad lives in Gearhart.
Loads of folks head west to the Oregon Coast for the weekend from Portland. Traffic on the way back can be just due to the nature of the road and amount of people returning on to the same location.

My wife and I are going to fly out Monday, and we just decided to get a room at the Portland airport on Sunday night. Didn’t want to deal with the drive and we’re gonna try to play Gearhart Sunday morning.

Yea planning to give myself at least 2.5hrs. Being from a small beach town I envisioned Sunday to Sunday rentals. Leaving at 7a gives me about 2.5 hours but if no one takes up the offer I’ll leave closer to 6:30a. I don’t mind being at an airport for an extended time
Glad this popped up as I needed to remember to make tee times for Thursday and Sunday, although it looks like Sunday opens tomorrow.

Good reminder! Was able to snag 8:20 on Thursday as a single for a first round before replay in pm with @fishtopher18 joe and amber post patio beers
(For those not in the know, gearhart is top tier for patio beers)

Really wish my vacation was timed a bit better so I could attend this event. HOWEVER, my wife and I will be arriving to the area Saturday afternoon and we’d love to participate in any bonus golf that happens Saturday afternoon/evening. We’re also planning on playing Gearhart Sunday AM and potentially Monday AM if anyone would like to join us.

Excellent. Our flight gets in at 1:10 and headed straight to Gearhart. Got the 5:00 time to hopefully get 9 in and try and get off earlier. Will definitely join for beers if around. Joe and Amber are our people.
Tif and I will probably try and make a time around 9 or so on Sunday.
