Question regarding Walla Walla for a 5 night golf trip the 3rd week in June. is it cool or is it a dump?
We’d play 5 rounds at Wine Valley and one day at WWCC.
I ran through town with the esteemed @jkody for a quick one night visit and a round at both courses. I was blown away by Wine Valley. So much fun. Would really like to bring the group out that way.
The rub is Walla Wall felt a bit off? We stayed at the Marcus Whitman and though recently renovated, it’s kind of a dump. Similar to most winery or ski towns things appear to roll up by 8PM or earlier. Is that accurate? We have a number of wine drinkers in the crew so the wineries would be nice for a couple tours. That said, downtown seems pretty sleepy.
Granted, my visit was after 10 day golf & IPA bender and then a 5 hour car ride through hell. Admittedly, my fuse was running pretty short.
Is WW a good trip for 24 guys who still get after it pretty good or is it the same as going to downtown Sonoma, CA and looking for a deal on a bucket of Coors Light?
Any and all advice appreciated.
Very sleepy. You can get after it until like 10pm downtown but then the city starts to go to bed.
Tri Cities would give you more action but that’s a 45 minute drive away.
Could always try to find a big Airbnb for everyone. I know there’s a couple.
@Tippy is your Walla Walla sherpa.
