Where are the pods listed? And hell yeah.
They technically aren’t yet since we’re waiting on one payment to come through to verify what we have is locked in.
Some people are just being nosey.
I’d love to get a match at Ellsworth meadows too.
Yes please. Even better news looks like we might be in the same pod - are they booking tee times 2 months in advance?!
Me and @smithburger trying to chase down this last payment so we can just go ahead and release the pods before everyone spoils them.
The par 5’s at ellsworth are so fun. I love when a course doesn’t demand length (which I don’t have a ton of) but rather a precise second. THERE IS NO LAYING UP.
The OATW roost waiting for the pod release…
#1 is such a good hole. One of the tightest approach shots I’ve seen
5 is an underrated hole. Wide open but if you don’t know the course and that there’s a creek short of the green and right is almost dead because of the giant tree then good luck reaching in 2.
The group that owns Mallard bought Pinebrook - so I think that says a lot about how it’s currently managed. It’s too bad bc it’s the course my dad has his only subpar round.
One of my goals this year is to break 80 at Rawiga
That’s a hell of a goal. Going to have to chip your butt off.
Announcement
Alright. We have a full field confirmed! We’re still missing a payment, but if the person who has yet to pay doesn’t pay by EOD tomorrow we have someone who is willing to step up and take their place who can slot right into the pod we would lose that person from.
I think the way @smithburger and I want to do this in order to build up anticipation and have some fun with it is to announce half the field today, one pod at a time, over the next few hours. Then we will do the other half of the field tomorrow.
First pod. Pod #16, will be posted at 10am!
I shot 74 there last year…I was at 1 under after 16 (that monster par 5) then did a full Icarito, making a triple on 17 which is, far and away, the easiest hole out there for me. Sniped driver on the edge of the shit. Second shot over the green into the shit. Etc. I putted my first put to about an inch on 18 and grabbed my ball and almost threw it to the parking lot. So ponderously stupid lol. So maybe my 74 doesn’t count. I was closer to hitting a windshield on 18 than a cup…
This is awesome stuff @smithburger @golf4miami. Thank you.
74 is a very good round there. 16 is tough, a true 3 shotter around the water. It’s easy to let your guard down on the seemingly easy 17th after that hole but there is some real trouble if you don’t get off the tee well. There are a lot of opportunities to score there if you get off the tee well but approach play is at a premium with the humpback greens. If you get out of position there are some BIG numbers looming. Look forward to playing it together
Watching the weather and it can’t get warm quick enough.
