OATW/FCF Presents: Rust Belt Rumble 2026; June 27th 2026

RUST BELT
It’s time once again for the members of @OhioAgainstTheWorld and @FreshCoastFlock to come together and battle it out for true midwestern supremacy.

June 27th, 2026.

Our host this year will again be Napoleon Golf Club in scenic Napoleon, OH. NGC is a 9 hole municipal course under the stewardship of @Nap9super. Here more about Tom and the club on the FEG podcast here

We will play 3 rounds of paired team golf, followed by one round of singles matches to decide the winner. FCF has yet to take home the trophy, so streaks are on the line for both sides.

Accommodations will be similar to last year, with breakfast available and lunch provided, and cost should be in the same $100 range. Once things are finalized for the cost, I will start to collect payments.

Signup sheet link is below. Please fill the form out in order, and if you have to remove your name at any point, please let me know so people can be moved up from the waitlist in the order they signed up. If you’re coming from far away and need your tee times to be late/early, I will do my best to accommodate, but plan to be at the course for most of the day.

There is also a second tab on the signup sheet for a t-shirt preorder. Tom made the above logo and offered to put in an order of shirts with it on them for us with a local company. Cost would be about 20 bucks, so add your name and info to that sheet if you’re interested, and if enough people want one, we’ll place an order.

Any other questions, feel free to post here or DM me. I love doing this event, getting everyone together for a fun day of golf, and I hope we have as good of a day as we had last year.

(And yes I made sure the sheet was editable before posting this, so if it doesn’t work right, I blame you)

Oh is that info that is needed?

Let’s freaking go! I’ve been looking forward to this since the last putt fell June. That was the funniest day on the course I’ve had without even swinging a club.

Hypothetically: would anyone be willing to pick me up at DTW around 5:00 on Friday 6/26?

I think the only way I can pull this off is changing my flight home from a work trip to Seattle on Friday to DTW instead of CVG.

Hmmmm. It’s not a crazy far drive for me, like 1:15 from my house, but I could schedule some Friday work a little farther north to make it even shorter. Definitely possibly I could do it if someone who lives a little closer isn’t able or willing to do it

Yeah I’m hoping someone coming down from Michigan can make it work instead of one of you guis going north, but we’ll figure it out.

I put my name on the list!

Yeah it’s a real easy drive right up i75 for me, I just don’t want to 100% lock it in because we sometimes do our in person team meetings in Cleveland on the last Friday of the month. Well, we’re always supposed to do them on those days, but so far in my time with the company, 2 have happened on that day, 1 has been the week after, and 3 never happened at all lol

Guys, I can’t believe this has happened in less than 24 hours, but team OATW is FULL! Thank you all so much for jumping right on this and showing your support for the event. It really does mean a lot to me, and I know it means a lot to Tom and the staff at NGC. We’ve even got two players on the waitlist, so let’s get team FCF filled up and ready to try to grab their first victory

Good lord. Getting texts from the superintendent was unexpected tonight asking why I wasn’t signed up.

Too slow, Joe! :joy:

No doubt! I saw it yesterday at work and forgot until Tom messaged me.

I think we all know if you’re on the waitlist for a refuge event, you’re as good as in
