Confirming: @golf4miami got Ames’d 5 and 4 in the first match.
Currently sitting +10 on par 3s…
Can confirm.
I want the record to reflect that I bounced back and finished 2-1-1.
I dropped the first two matches and then won the second two. But gotta be better next year.
Not sure anyone took a single picture all day. Too fucking cold.
My wife did. A lot of them.
Your wife wins wife of the year for maybe the next 2 to 3 years. Hands-down, I think it’s unanimous. What a trooper.
She absolutely does, but I cannot possibly let her know that
Don’t worry, I think everybody else let her know so definitely need to come up with something big to pay her back, lol
She got a new car 3 weeks ago, so I think we’re even now
Really though, she has been raving all day about how nice everyone is, and how much fun she had. She really enjoys getting to meet you guys, and really looks forward to seeing the people she’s gotten to know a little bit.
I’m gonna try to get this out before we get home and I fall asleep on the couch…
Thank you all so much. Truly, from the bottom of my cold calloused heart, thank you. Today was long, cold, tiring, and so incredibly fun. You guys rule. Thank you for showing up, thank you for competing, thank you for rolling with the punches. It means the world to me to see people having a good time and getting into the event.
Team OATW, if you didn’t get it yet, @Tigerific90 made some sick wooden coasters as trophies for the winning team. I have the rest of them, and can get them to you at another event or mail them to you if need be.
Also, someone’s OATW ball marker fell out of their gift bag, so if you got the little envelope but not a metal engraved ball marker, please let me know so I can get that to you.
Lastly, my wife has a ton of pictures of the event. She will sort through them and do some touch up work, and then I will get them onto a Dropbox or something for everyone to access for their roost, social, or personal use
Again, thank you all so much. Put some lotion on your faces, take some Aleve, and get some sleep.
Oh and shout out to @Manhattan for all the work he put in that wasn’t as up front but definitely important as hell for all this to go off so well
I’ve been very fortunate to play in a lot of NLU events since the first one in Ohio in 2020, and they remain undefeated.
Huge huge thank you to @Conley76 and @Manhattan for all of the work you put in to make today happen. Had a blast and can’t wait for next year!
That was my first NLU event and it was a blast. Thanks for all the work in putting it together. Looking forward to Findlay in a couple weeks. Wanted to follow up on the bourbon since we didn’t get to it yesterday. If there’s interest in doing some sort of auction/raffle on here I can ship the bottle (Party Source OWA pick or Blanton’s pick - I’ll let the winner choose) to the winner with the money being added to our donation.
Well done guis @Conley76 @Manhattan fun event despite the spicy conditties. First time playing 36 in quite awhile and got home and was zonked. Face felt like I’d been skiing all day. Great meeting some new folks and enjoyed seeing familiar faces from both sides of the state line. For any guis that this was your first event don’t hesitate to #getinvolved again in our other events down the line this summer. See y’all soon.
Solid! My record was identical.
