Things that are sick: Nebraska
This was great. In the UK and mentally drawing up a list of US road (golf) trips and Nebraska fits the bill for me.
These videos really work for me and itās been nice to be along as the crew evolve (age!) like us all. Music perfect and footage evocative.
I donāt think thereās anything like NLU; I donāt want a ābrosā trip, with every shot and manufactured fun. I want something REAL and this is it.
As a younger brother, also deeply feel the simmering sibling rivalry!
May have Googleād properties for sale in Mullen after watching this. Not something Iām going to get past the rest of the board (wife and kids) but itās good to dream, right?
Does @MerchCzar think the saying is āGeezle Peteā? I swear thatās how he was saying it vs āGeez-o-Peteā.
While they are playing at Wild Horse, does anyone know what brand shorts @MerchCzar is wearing? They look super comfortable and would like to get some.
Thanks!
I always thought it was jeezum-pete!
Is it not āJeezy Peepsā?
At least, thatās a phrase that has become a bit common/memeish this side of the pond in the past few years.
I posted elsewhere that Nebraska looked cool, and without the threat of terrorist attacks is a big positive I suppose.
So many places to play, so little money and time.
Confirmed⦠the Scots phrase is ājeezy peepsā: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hxYs7xkAHxk
Iām Australian, so same level of exotic.
In 2012 I flew Sydney > Los Angeles > Minneapolis > Witchita ā maybe the first person in history to fly that exact path ā and did a week-long roadtrip playing Prairie Dunes, Ballyneal and Sand Hills for two days each then flew out of Denver.
The golf was obviously epic, but the places we saw on the way and the people we encountered were just as memorable. Itās such a mad trip.
Confirming itās always sounded like Geezel to me, and I want to live in a world where it always remains Geezel!
Iām firmly in the āGeezelā camp, too. At least thatās what the Franchise always said.
Jeezo-Pete. At least in Indiana where I grew up.
Must be one of those regional dialect things because in Michigan itās def pronounced Geeze o Pete too.
Am I living under a rock? Neil saying it was the first time I had heard that phrase or any phrase that was anything close to that.
This would be the West Texas version I grew up with. But it would be more Geez OāPete
I couldnāt watch the Super Bowl on my flight so I watched this instead. This did not suck and inspired me to kick my brotherās ass in a match this year.
Great work all around.
