Gonna need someone to breakdown the H&B hoodie vs the Rhoback hoodies.
That H&B will seriously last like 15 years though…
The H&B Jackson hoodie is def more “tailored” than the Rhobacks - no drawstrings, a bit slimmer, shorter (hits at belt line at front) and a bit more body/not as drapy as the Rhoback.
The H&B Lawson hoodie is more relaxed, more of a “comfy” piece. Super soft and drapy.
TY!
My H&B diamond knits from the early days all have holes in the elbows now. I’ve patched them up with very stately suede fabric, but still a bummer.
I’ve had mine for half a year now and it gets picked (piqued?) VERY easily. The diamond knitting itself seems to come loose pretty easily as well.
Pretty sure I just found my new personal tag line.
A hair stylist once asked if I wanted my bangs to be more “straight” or more “wispy”, and I’ve referred to my hair as wispy ever since.
the vest only going up to XL…RIP thicc bois

The new Pine perry vest and replen of the grey and navy ones come in sizes up to 2XL
agree with this. the Lawson seems like their answer to Rhoback. It’s a little heavier, but not much.
I’m out on the Jackson due to my abnormally long torso.
NLU targeting me specifically with this product. How do I not buy it
Ohhhhhh, that’s how…

In their defense H&B was not prepared to withstand your excessive vibes.
In on the H&B Sullivan tanimal.
Exactly why do vests cost so much more than other products with sleeves? And it’s not just H&B stuff, I see it across multiple sites. Very confusing.
From my product development days, some information.
Vests are outerwear, usually some kind of technical fabric to actually work to protect you from elements such as wind/rain/cold. And seaming processes that keep that nasty weather from getting through the garment onto your mid or base layers. And you have to clean finish them to their linings and insulating layers since the seam allowance can’t be just hanging out there inside like it can on a jacket armhole. There is a lot of hidden detail work that goes into making a functional, technical piece of outerwear.
They are cheaper than their outerwear counterparts with sleeves aka coats.
But they will usually never be cheaper than an unlined, non-technical mid layer or base layer like a sweater/hoodie/crewneck/q-zip.
I’m talking across the board - not just H&B - for example - north face thermo ball vest: $180. The jacket version? $270
Is it also reasonable to think that volume plays a role? That is to say the overall sale volume of a vest I would think would be lower and thus the individual pieces need a higher price to make up the margin.
