I’ve seen some banker games get out of hand and extremely uncomfortable very quick. Even when you’re just spectating watching someone have a 5ft putt with massive money hinging on it gets you queasy
I’m lucky that the big money group I used to play with in Chicago never let losing ruin the round.
I’ve never shook more over a 3ft putt than in a game of banker that’s for sure.

I’m flying from the west coast too so I’m getting in at 6 on Wednesday. I know @charvey is landing on the 1st as well. I’m down to grab dinner and maybe an Airbnb for the night if people are interested.

Question for the group going to Tobacco Road on Sunday:
Is anyone whose driving going back through Southern Pines afterwards, and if so, can I bum a ride from you to and from? I’m exploring the possibility of taking the train from FL to Southern Pines, so my only transportation needs would be on Sunday. If you’ve got room, I’m happy to contribute to the cause. Thanks!
Update: I could also make this work for anyone in the group continuing on to Raleigh after TR on Sunday.

American got rid of the morning flight into RDU the first part of 2023. Looks like I’m gonna be getting into RDU Wednesday, 3/1 around 9pm. Down for any Airbnb otherwise it’s the airport hotel that night
I’m flying in on Wednesday too. I think @charvey and @McStruggles mentioned they’ll be in town early as well. I’ve scoped out a couple airbnbs and there’s plenty of stuff around if everyone’s interested.

I’m tentative on Mid Pines that day. Ideally would play no.3 that morning, but not sure if we’ll be able to yet.
My hero! I’ll be in touch as we get closer to confirm, but this gives me some confidence to consider booking Amtrak tix.
The current SP 3/2 foursome is full, but if there’s any others interested in an AM 3/2 tee time at SP I’d also be interested.

Did 54 once at Bandon 4 years ago carrying my own bag and my back so was fucked the next morning I skipped the morning round
