I am no fan of Jess but she’s 200x the instructor Kendall is. She might not be “beach blond” but she’s actually focused - when she’s not tripping balls in the JFE rides I avoid - on actually creating a good structured ride. Kendall seems laser focused on growing her brand and looking hot. (It should go without saying that Jess is incredibly hot on her own.)

New to this, but I’ve found Kendall’s rides to be consistently challenging and motivating. Certainly my personal bests have come with Kendall.

I enjoy Jess’ rides as well.
Maybe I just think it’s all great? The gamification of fitness has motivated me more than any other thing I’ve attempted in my nearly 40 years.

Also rocked a 15 minute Lanebreak followed by a 15 minute stretch before golf. Played great.

It is all great, and it’s personal choice too. But Kendall sometimes structures her rides in a way that just doesn’t seem to pass the same standards almost every other instructor does. PRs for sure will come out of them but they are like aggressively hard without any breaks, etc. I am not sure that’s actually “good” instruction. But again, don’t want to yuck any yums.

I like Lanebreak a lot. The stretching before golf is awesome - but for me, I have to drive like 30 minutes minimum before playing golf, so I never do it at home (and then almost always forget to do it at the course). I need to be better at that.

To me, Kendall seems to just say screw it, I’m gonna send it. As someone who consistently ride above the called out resistance, she regularly calls out resistances that I just laugh at (especially towards the end of rides). I tend to like her music choices more than Jess and have just never really been a huge fan of the Jess rides I’ve taken.

In terms of structure, my personal favorites are Alex, Emma, and Ali. They are probably 60-75% of the rides I take.

I will need to open my heart to these instructors.

Did my first 60 minute ride this weekend (with Leanne). Didn’t love the pacing of everything, but was pleased to have just survived.

Personally, I prefer Alex over pretty much everyone, but I also love working out to hip hop and a lot of his rides use a hip hop playlist. Kudos to you though on the 60 minute ride! I’ve personally never gone past 45, but sprinkling in some 60’s is a goal of mine for the winter.

Thanks man. Felt like a big undertaking, but the ride I took with Leanne ended up being a pretty gentle entry in the hour.

@EZmiss we must stick together and not allow any further treacherous slander of our Queen

Kendall sucks.

We stan Queen Jess.

If they want these hands they can get them.

And this is the biggest issue. This is dumb. She’s not doing those call outs and if you can’t do them who are they even for? So stupid.

It’s purely hard for the sake of it. Completely lacking in thoughtful programming. Meanwhile Jess’s Sweat Steady rides are probably the best rides you can take

There’s all kinds of Halloween classes, no matter if you’re a Kendall or a Jess fan. In lieu of choosing a specific Halloween ride and opening myself to the ire of the masses, I linked to the Halloween collection and was thinking everyone can just choose their own adventure this week.

@ChickPhilA if you could update the title to something like Halloween Collection Week it would be wildly appreciated.

Hope everyone has a great Halloween!

Happy Halloween folks!

Took the Kendall Halloween ride today and just gotta say….even though I usual stand up for Kendall, this might be some of the worst programming I’ve ever seen from here. It seemed like basically everything was an 80-90 sprint at 48-60 resistance. That is, except for the one hill where she called out 75-80 cadence at a 58-74 resistance. Gonna try and give the Jess ride a try tomorrow and hope it’s a better Halloween edition.
