NLU Peloton Thread - Weekly Ride: 30 minute 2010’s Hip Hop Ride with Ally from 7/25/24

Everyone has probably already taken the Foo ride. But, it was really good. I’ve been saving a re-ride until it got selected for the weekly ride. Hopefully, I will get back on the weekly rides more regularly now.

It took me a while(a few weeks) to recover my “peloton stamina” after a relatively mild Covid case back in January when it was running through everyone. My “regular stamina” was back to normal in a couple days. I still ride almost daily, just not to my previous intensity, but by choice, not because of lingering effects.

I don’t know how to do it on the Peloton bike and am too lazy to walk out to the garage to look at it, but on my road bike when I went to the bike fitter he tilted my seat ever so slightly down because of how my legs work. So it can be a thing. Don’t know if it is for you or not, only one way to find out!

Nice PR on this one out of nowhere for me today. Also shout out the refuge member that high fived me in there.

Anytime! Glad I wasn’t taking an older one alone! That was a killer workout and @PushHookPorter is an absolute dog! He blew my PR out of the freaking water!

Spring break put me off my schedule and I’ve had problems getting my motivation back. Do you guys ride at the same time every day? I kept having issues being able to go at the same time every day but wonder if thats the trick. Between food and bike I’d dropped 15, but now I’ve only lost 10! haha. gotta get back on it and lose another 15 probably before golf really kicks in here in Kentucky.

Monday to Friday I start my workout between 630 and 7am depending on whether I’m going into the office or working from home.

On the weekends, if I workout, it is later in the morning but usually by 10am.

I’m a creature of habit and don’t have kids so that helps with the structure I think. Having that structure helps me to get a workout in most days. It sounds like you’re having a great year so far.

I’ve done the Foo Fighters ride a handful of times now but that ride was really tough going. Perhaps staying up to midnight to binge watch the end of a series wasn’t the best prep. Got it done though.

This week non withstanding (vacation) I’m consistently between 5:45-6:15 EST start times. Usually ride 3-4 days a week and do strength 2-3.

Yes, but what series did you binge?

This BBC crime drama called Happy Valley. There are 2 series of it and I watched the first. 6, 1 hour long episodes in 2 nights. I’m not proud of myself but it was gripping stuff. Series 2 will be watched later this week no doubt.

During the work week its 5 am EST so my wife and I can workout before the kids wake up. Weekend I usually ride in the afternoon when the youngest takes a nap. I set way more PRs during the weekend than at 5 am…

Happy Valley is fantastic! Big fan of British crime dramas over here.

Binged series 2 of Happy Valley as well. Great TV. Apparently there’s a third series coming this year. Will move any more chat to the streaming / watching thread!

Fun to take this ride again. Classic playlist. Classic Emma. My only regret is I couldn’t turn the volume up any higher.

Love taking a good class again, especially when I outperform my prior performance. If I’d not relaxed there at the end I could have had a good number for me.

Snuck my first weekly ride in under the wire so had 88 of ya to chase and let me just say:

Y’all some animals, sheesh.

I think this is a repeat from February.

Whoops I’ll blame it on vacation brain. Hold please and will update.
