Happy Final Crush Your Core day to @marklemcd !

Leave it to Emma for this glorious occasion to be celebrated with a full 15min workout.

If I don’t forget to do it today, I made it the full 22/22 over the past month. I will continue to do some of them on an individual basis, probably paired up with the yoga program I’ll start tomorrow. But I’ll take a brake from the full program at least for a month.

But I will say, it for sure works.

Yeah can’t wait to end with 15 min.

It was worth doing but if i never do a bird dog and feel uncoordinated again i won’t mind

Yeah the high plank is no bueno on my shoulders.

And of course she had to end with the bicycle crunches.

Time for another weekly update! This week is a pick from @yungloudancolin and it’s Jess King’s Sweat Steady from 4/3/21. If you’re PR hunting these rides are a good format for that. @ChickPhilA please update the title at your leisure. Enjoy everyone!

What sort of yoga program??

I always take Aditi’s yoga classes anyway, so this will just be a good way to put some structure around it.

Anyone else going to do the next Power Zone Pack challenge? I skipped the last one but I’m going to do this one - only six weeks. Going to try to do the four rides/week. I need a big kick in the ass.

I’m gonna leave the yoga to you but will probably keep doing core stuff and explore other instructors

I’m away from my bike this week sadly! Love this ride though - please enjoy everyone!

I wouldn’t necessarily steer you away from the Beginner Yoga program, but it’s definitely aimed at beginners.

There’s always new things to learn in yoga, so it’s definitely worth doing, but it’s fairly easy and straightforward. It was great at helping establish a regular routine and habit for me though.

Has anyone found a good stretch for pre or post round?

I reliably enjoy Ben Aldis’ 10 min full body stretches.

well, I’ve only done about 35 yoga classes, and at one point I took an intermediate one and struggled. I like it mostly for the stretching aspect and an active recovery of sorts.

It’s been too long, but hoping to get back into some semblance of working out outside of walking the course.

On a nice little roll after feeling like I hit a wall a couple weeks ago. I just kept cranking the resistance up and was feeling good, and kept adding. Noticed I was on a good pace around halfway and decided to go after it.

I saw the exact point when you decided to go after. Had you for awhile but that last 5 minutes you hit another gear! But I finally started being able to complete the full minute of bicycle kicks in Crush Your Core so at least I got that going for me.

“You almost had ME?!?

hell yeah buddy, well done! those bicycle crunches kick my ass every time. I must have some sort of stockholm syndrome, because I did another 10min core class yesterday even though I’m done with the program.
