My company held an advisory role to a conglomerate of firework stores and yoga studios :man_shrugging:t3: and our managing director kept calling them yogurt studios…it stuck.

Thanks for the suggestion! I probably wouldn’t have taken the ride otherwise. The music was better than I was expecting, and it definitely got me through the climbs!

So far 3 for 3 in setting PRs in Refuge rides. Irene was a good change of pace and the back to back climbs at the end are going to make that 10 minute yoga class a requirement later today

I’ve really gravitated towards the Power Zone training within Peloton. I’ve always been pretty data driven so this kind of training really appealed to me.

My first FTP test I just followed what Olivia said, increasing resistance every 5 min. The second time around I had an idea of how I wanted to attack it and more or less wanted to come out at my goal average output and stay there.

I’m not expecting this sort of increase in FTP every time I test, and I’m sort of dreading my next Power Zone ride as I know these new zones are going to be much higher.

12/8/20 - 240 FTP
1/10/21 - 305 FTP

300 rides - birthday - 2 live classes (top 20 and top 10) - about 50 shout-outs across both rides… and I’m still 0-6 in shout-outs for milestone rides. Womp womp.

Congrats AND Happy Birthday! I’m approaching 300 in a couple of weeks. Not expecting a shoutout either. The classes are so popular now that at least the rides I take the instructors seem to laugh at how many milestones and birthdays they have at their live rides, like no chance to cover everyone.

New zone rides are THE WORST. But a good thing in their own way.

I’m going to hit 300 sometime this week. I really should plan it out for a live ride.

Congrats on your milestone @anon43372372 !!

so we just got our bike delivered yesterday. I did about zero research on them but the wife has wanted one for a while so it was our xmas present to ourselves.

tried out one of the beginner rides for 20min. it’s not too bad, but the pedals are disappointingly difficult without their shoes. I think my C2 rower is a more comprehensive workout, but this gets some different muscles and is a nice change.

me being me i was happy finishing 4/56 live (forgot to look all-time at the end, I’d guess around 3000/56k), so I could kinda get into that element of it.

really no idea what I’m doing though. I’ll probably do it again tomorrow out of boredom.

Gotta get shoes that clip in.

They’re not hybrid pedals - they’re only for bike shoes. Good job riding without them, but either get the shoes ASAP or new pedals.

yeah I’m probably going to order some tomorrow. seems like it’ll make things easier.

They don’t need to be the peloton shoes, any cycling shoes work, you can add the Delta Look cleats to any of them.

I have a code for you to get a deal on them. I thinks it’s $100 off of any accessory, including shoes.

sincerely appreciate the offer. there must be some other conditions because I tried it and it says “code doesn’t apply to this cart” or something.

I just read the details and it only applies at the time of purchase of the bike. My bad.

Any of you guis know… Is there a way to search for classes by music/band?

Yes you can on the bike, not the app. Just hit the magnifying glass at top right in the classes view and type any band, all the classes with that band will show up in the view. Favorite them to add to your “favs”.
