The mats would probably mess with my head for a few holes because I’d constantly be thinking the ball was slighly above my feet.

I just feel so badly watching when you can tell after a couple of holes that someone doesn’t have it that day … and it all gets recorded for thousands of people to watch back later.
Always impressed how the gents handle it because they’ve all sort of muddled through it during different videos over the years.

Couple of thoughts on the video.
With the exception of late in the round, it seemed like Soly was making everything he looked at. Bombs from everywhere. That looked aspirational to me.
The interview with the former tour guy that they played with, was a miss for me. Fantastic round for him, but his commentary was not especially additive for me.
Maybe this belongs in the contrarian takes thread, but I enjoy the film room format where one of the guys who played sits with one of the guys who didn’t play, to review the round.
Lastly, I’m going to love watching the Open, like I always do, but this video did not make me fall in love with Troon. I struggled to appreciate the course. The holes kind of ran into each other for me, and looked very similar.

I think seeing it in March, with some poor weather and almost no infrastructure made it odd. Other than the mats and the temporary green site it did feel a bit benign. I have heard that bit of Scotland hasn’t had great weather so it will be a different test but excited to see the pros take on some of those bunkers.

I need to bring the boys their flowers on the Poosh film room. Loved it. Excellent content. Liked the Neil commentary. And it absolutely makes me want to play Bandon! Would recommend.
