But the public accounting firms also teach you to maximize those billable hours. He might need to bring on a few additional partners to think outside the box to figure out these skins

Yeah… let me guess how that turned out.

We are always ready to have you back. I believe you said it yourself “Chess vs checkers” or some variant.

@b_lehmann just got the urge for some late night ice cream, rushed to the store, found Tillamook Marionberry. Purchased immediately. Can confirm its Blackberry relations

Always had a double bag caddie at Bandon. Never really had an issue, even when partnered with a guy that sprayed it around a bit. What’s the complaint? Value?

It’s a LCP thing but I tend to be in the fairway and the times I’ve had a double-bag caddie I end up having to wait — or take my own bag — when the other player’s ball isn’t. It defeats the purpose of having a caddie IMO.

Basically, if I can’t get the personalized attention I’d rather just push my bag.

This is a fair take, and not limited to the LCP gang.

I used caddies for two rounds. My plan was to have caddie’s on the afternoon rounds but also heard Old Mac was the course you needed one the most, which pushed me to book three.

One was a double bag and one wasn’t. Having one on trails for the second round of the day was awesome and helpful. My guy at Old Mac was great and the only one in our group, and helped out others as well. I cancelled my caddie (well in advance) for the final round because I knew I was grouped with people who knew the course. I didn’t know one person in our group had a caddie too. He was great and helped out everyone as well and I know myself and other playing partner tipped him at the end as well for helping us with reads, etc. when he wasn’t required to.

I’m going back in July 2023 and at the moment, probably won’t take caddies. Courses are only blind once!

I feel kind of them same. Took them 100% first trip, less each time on the last two. I’ll continue to take one every once in a while (mostly on Trails); I’ve been fortunate that I’ve liked every one I’ve had, but I’ll go trolley mostly going forward

Gotcha. Makes sense. So, really less of a complaint about the double-bag caddie quality and more about the concept vs. carrying on your own? I’m probably in a similar place as you. I’m lucky to be fairly straight off the tee, but I do enjoy the help of a caddie around the greens. I’m thinking of carrying myself more next trip, though. I’m not convinced the value is always there for a double-bag.

I’m sure some of the caddies are skilled but there were enough reports of guys not giving their best effort that I didn’t feel like I missed out on anything by going it alone. It would have been really upsetting to get the guy that @ArnieDrillingKools got, that’s for sure!
