Noticeable gap in the Roost coverage map of the Boot and related Gulf areas of MS and AL.

I think it would be fitting to extend our area to include more of the golf coast, not sure how large of a net you are looking to cast, but it could extend as far as from Lake Charles to Gulf Shores.

I will add that I am all the way over on 30A in the Florida Panhandle (about 4 hours from NOLA). The OJ Roost is awesome in activity and engagement. But, the reality is it is almost impossible for me to participate in any of the play, because it almost all happens so far away. A “North Gulf Coast” roost that ran from NOLA over to Panama City, FL might be nice.
Back in town after a very eventful two weeks.
It appears that 2026 Roost Applications are not yet open. I only got 5 responses on my previous google form unfortunately. I’m talking with folks involved with other Roosts currently to find out about some best practices, and have a few buddies I still need to recruit but I will link it again for any who have missed. We need 20 Nest members to be able to start the Roost. Likely will post over in Houston/MS topics as well to reach a bigger pool of folks who may be interested.

Update on potential “Gulf Coast” Roost.
I’ve spoken with some folks over at Peachtree Collective and Stroh’s, there’s a lot to do in order to get this off the ground the right way, so I’m looking for volunteers to help. I have already created a discord server that I am working on the bones for, but we’ll need fundraising, handicapping, figure out our rules and bylaws etc. not to mention competition organizing and all the fun stuff like logos, merch, etc. etc. So any takers? Drop me a DM and I will send you an invitation to the discord to begin collaboration.
Also I am slightly new to discord so any aid there would be helpful as well.
You don’t have to overwhelm yourselves right away. We got to that point over a few years. I def like Discord for the communication tool.
baseline for the roost - 20 people, 3 meetups a year of 4 of more people playing together, host a “Roost Major”, and have a sweet logo.
I’m looking forward to the first annual crawfish boil!

Yeah I don’t think we’re gonna get it all in one go, but building out with the future in mind. C Suite mindset…
When you get a name finalized and a logo. We’ll blast it on socials. Plenty of good network in the south where you can convert friends and so forth.
we’ve got a number of LSU, Ole Miss guys in the roost who likely have friends who would join up, just not refuge users at this point.
