That FNM vid, along with Epic are just an epitome of MTV era wank right?

If I’m understanding the question :joy: the FNM video is up there for sure. Peter Gabriel’s Sledgehammer as well. But to me, this video will always sum up ā€œthe MTV eraā€:

You and Ridley Scott agree.

Now I’m going to have to go back and watch BHD again. Unreal cast.

FNM’s Epic was on MTV non-freaking-stop when I got to campus in the fall of 90.

It was that, Motley Crue (Same Old Situation), Bell Biv Devoe (Poison) and Billy Idol (Rock the Cradle of Love).

You could count on those songs being on at least once per hour.

Of course, all the frats up and down the street were blaring 2 Live Crew’s As Nasty as They Want to Be from every window and porch but that didn’t get much MTV play.

For sure not good walk up music, but great it’s 11:30 and the fireplace is on and I’m procrastinating going to bed for no reason music

It’s funny, I thought Faith No More was playing when Piven was yelling ā€œFucking Ireneā€ but it’s actually a Hendrix song. Took me a little longer to find b/c I kept pulling up the Hendrix/Irene scene.

yes, yes, yes

Happy New Year! Jason Isbell crushed a NYE set from Brooklyn Bowl in Nashville and you can catch it on demand all weekend. Me and @ChickPhilA highly recommend, especially if you need some live music.
