New Sam Fender is out

Probably my favorite artist discovery of the last 5 years.

New Anxious album is awesome

Probably the best thing out of Fairfield since JJ Henry

I don’t know how this thread works but after joining a salsa band I’ve been digging through all of Eddie Palmieri’s recordings and man do these slap

Imo thread works by posting at least 1 (one) song and you checked that box. Rocked em!

I have been really enjoying this record these last couple days.

I also caught Comeback Kid’s 20th anniversary of Wake the Dead in Winnipeg last weekend and I have been revisiting some of their shit. Heavy Steps is a very good record that I probably didn’t give enough of a chance until recently.

Also want to sneak this gem in. Worry is one of my favorite records of all time, but I never liked anything else Jeff did (Craig of the Creek excluded). It was nice to fall in love with this release.

Worry is an amazing record. I saw Menzingers & JR tour together during the Worry era. That was an awesome show.

I’m gonna hop out on a limb here and say, given your username, we may align very well in this thread.

At the CBK show in Winnipeg, I ran into Jord and saw Chris and Beave from Prop. Jord is like a top 3 influence for me, so of course I acted like a total coward and just left him alone, shook his hand though.

Or I have misinterpreted your username and none of that means a god damn thing. Either way.

Haha- no, you got it right- I grew up on Fat Wreck/Epitaph back in the late 90s/early 00s. Ive got a vast library of punk records.

I will admit that my love and admiration for Prop comes after their Fat Wreck days, but I’ve been known to dabble in a little punk rock myself. Had a couple bands, put out some stuff, fell apart for various reasons. You know the tale.

Yeah - Todays Empires is peak Pgandhi for me. I did love that last album a few years ago too.

Also I love me some John K Samson solo records.

Loving Worry but not liking anything else is surprising.

Especially No Dream which feels pretty damn close to me

It’s so weird. I completely agree. But I can’t get into anything else he had put out previously. And I have tried many times.

I have very dumb and weird musical tastes.

Hadn’t heard of Spite House before but this album is solid.

Reminds me a good bit of Koyo

I probably should’ve guessed this but it makes me feel even better that you enjoyed Ambleside. Also a Fat Wreck variety box from like 2004-ish would be an instant buy

I haven’t felt a joy like this since my son was born

@xthrubyx @propajondhi Oh hey, heard you guys were talking about my favorite bands and and wanted to show off to my new best friends. Included Jeff’s old bands (bomb the music industry and arrogant sons of bitches) for good measure.

Jeff is definitely an acquired taste but Worry was next level good. I saw BTMI at a VFW show 100 years ago and just never stopped paying attention. Spite house is great and they come on my Spotify mixes often, though I haven’t remembered to buy the record yet. Saw Menzingers in the fall for the third or fourth time and they’re always such a fun watch, they really love what they’re doing. New propagandhi should drop before too long, know they were in studio last summer.
