Rewatching HBO’s The Leftovers and the episode I watched featured Sturgill Simpson’s cover of When In Rome’s “The Promise”. Really haunting.

The episode also featured “White Lines” by Grandmaster Flash and Melle Mel.

Two very different yet both awesome tunes.

Buffalo band Del Paxton put out their second LP, Auto Locator, about a month ago now. I’ve probably listened to it front to back at least once a week since. Highly recommend a listen:

100 Words For Snow is one of the more affecting songs I’ve heard in some time. Does an amazing job of evoking feelings of how winters here often feel. Could see myself driving down the 90 between my house and my mom’s in the dark while big snowflakes are falling faster and faster like I was watching it on a screen in front of me.
