Format has yet to be formalized for this tournament. My fellow co-chair @LonnieMollo and I will discuss this critical matter while out on the course once they finally re-open.
Love it. A mere suggestion that came to mind would be some sort of TILT/Quota game, higher team total takes the W.
The committee will take this under consideration.
As someone who makes a lot of suggestions to committees I can confirm that this is “committee-speak” for there’s no GD way we’re considering this

Listen, the committee has many matters to discuss and we’re forced to do so at least 6 feet apart. The Rules Committee will release additional event details as the situation evolves.

It’s been too long since this thread was active. The good news is we’ll be having a meeting of the Executive Committee tomorrow afternoon on the hills of Olympus.
A number of details will be discussed with @GRWhitehead and @LonnieMollo, including whether we are legally able to bar all ‘Sconies from crossing the border to join our event. Much more to come…

For Immediate Release:
On the hills of Olympus last Friday it was agreed upon by the executive committee that the format of the North Star Shootout will be Net Stableford. The one exception is the main event…our championship bout from our 32 person MN Match Play tourney will be your standard net rules.
In related news, I was able to personally inspect the grounds this afternoon and I couldn’t be more excited for 3 months from today. It’s looking pure out there!!!

New update for the North Star Shootout attendees that do not browse the MN Roll Call thread. Round one of our matches for the crown at Keller has been completed. We’re now on to the Siiiiiiiiick Sixteen, with just over 10 weeks to go until the big event.

It is with absolute gut wrenching news that my annual 32 man Ryder Cup got moved to the same weekend as the North Star Shootout & will no longer be able to partake. I was overruled 30-2 on the vote, tough scene.
