I actually got to hold the Cup from that year! I was on a lake near Bemidji, and one of the assistant captains had it for the day. Me and my buddy saw it, ran up and asked to hold it. And he let two 12 year olds prance around and take pictures with it! We said thank you and got back to tubing. Pretty bizarre.

Anyone have any thoughts on trying to find a place to have some beers and get to know each other more after? Saint Paul Brewing is close. Just throwing it out there.

As an out of stater coming from Fargo (basically Minnesota adjacent), I look forward to talking to other team Outstate folks on ideas for making it a longer more golf filled weekend if there is interest.
I’m obviously a sicko who’d drive down and back in a day if that’s all this is, so no big deal either way.
There will be plenty of things to do for the weekend. I will be around so we will work out something.
I’ll be driving down Friday morning, so I’ll be ready for an afternoon round on Friday.

Thanks for the offer, but I looked at my trade show schedule, and I have a show in Minneapolis starting on August 16th. Gonna get to expense the hotel room for the whole weekend.

Lonnie is based locally in the Twin Cities, ensuring no out-staters, rangers, or underhanded Badger fans have undue influence over the event plannings or proceedings.
