Also something we can talk about leading up to the event is instituting live scoring for the matches. Whether we do singles or team play, could be an exciting addition to the overall team event. I’ve seen it work before, whether we set up a google sheet (formulas for days) or use some sort of app.

I tried to update the WhatsApp or message board with the scores, we could probably do that easily. Although I did it just for gamesmanship and only updated when I won a hole…

Way far out to be suggesting this, but whoever is organizing should collect an emergency contact with the payment. I realized half way through the day that if I got hit by a car no one would know who to call

So is the plan to keep this locked at 36 per side for the time being? Assuming that’s the case, with the wait list ready to jump in for anybody that has to bow out.
An early round of match ups, once a committee has been established, would be awesome. Individual shit talking can commence, match ups can get updated, then a whole new round of shit talking starts. What a great way to meet your fellow refugees before the large scale brawl next May.

I looked into for the Cincinnati event (Golf Genius and other apps) but we didn’t have enough time. With seven months before the event this should be easily doable. And once done, it will be that much easier for future events.

Never have driven an American car. And I despise borders. Clearly I’m on the right team.
I assume no responsibility or liability for the actions of my fellow refuguies. That being said I’m fine to collect info and keep it secured in a HIPAA compliant system (aka password protected excel file).

Either way I think we should be able to get 72. We can let it play out between now and a few months before.
Much of it will depend on the course. Once we have that locked down we will know more.
I’m up for documenting, tracking, matches etc. again.

I’ve got a work contact from my previous job at Golf Status, the top live scoring app on the market. No idea if he still works there, or if I could even remember his name/contact info, but I’ve got some time to try.
@JBors - I will also call scores of tour match with Laz as well since you enjoyed so enjoyed this old guy doing that.
